"Sounds good Master Greatpaw." She said with a laugh, pointing at her drink and changing it to water, not wanting to get hungover as she took a drink, looking around the inn room. "So, would you have actually fought the Death Knight as he seemed to want so badly?" She asked absently, pulling her journal free from her pouch and opening it, wanting to make a few notes about the Pandaran as they spoke.

"Tell me what you know, dwarf!" Morec demanded. His minions and he had already delt with the explorers guards, and Morec now held Brann Bronzebeard by the scruff of his bronze beard.
"N-not when ye be plannin' to do what yer plannin' on doin' wit dat information, death knight," Brann said.
"I don't think you have much choice in the matter," Morec said, holding his runeblade to the dwarfs throat. "Now where are the pandarians. Tell me or I will killl you, and trust me; I
know
how to make people suffer."
A bit terror breifly crossed Brann's face. "Alright, alright, I'll tell ye what I know," he finally said. "But I warn ye, it ain't much."
"That will suffice," Morec said, loweing the dwarf back to the ground. "Now hurry up, I don't have all night."
(( It may seem like I just teleported there, but you'll have to excuse me. I wanted to make sure that I got to Brann before Feng ))

Character: Feng Greatpaw

Feng took down his drink with ease and smiled. "Please, call me Feng. If we are to be partners, such a proper title is unnecessary. And no, I would not have fought him, even for the insults. They did anger me, but anger is an irrational emotion, and best not acted upon. To be honest, I was hoping my threat would scare him into leaving. It seems I was mistaken. Although, I can thank the spirits that he decided on taking my brew, it gave me a reasonable out."
He called to the barman and ordered a bottle of the spirits he had been drinking and continued. "No, Magus, I am a Shodo-pan. I do not fight unless in the defense of my people or myself. Now, tell me, you are very tall for an elf, your build does not look much like that of an elf either, and nor do your ears. What exactly is your heritage?"

((ooc - just dont kill... and for the love all that's holy don't "Darklock" him morec.))
Character:
Tahlia Martin
Location:
Thunderbluff, Mulgore
Tahlia chuckled slightly at the polite way of asking if she was a half-breed or not. "Alright Feng, and you can call me Tahlia then. As for what I am, I am a half-elf; part human, my Father's side, and part High Elf, my mother's. I am the not so rare specie nowadays; your seeing them more and more, but it's not easy growing up as one. My mother's family disowned her, and my father's family wasn't much better... except for my aunt, she didn't care one way or another what I was." She laughed about that.
"Your Shodo-pan title.... that reminds me of the Vindicators of the Draenei, the warriors of Light who only work for the good of all." She said, flipping through her journal and showing the pandaran a picture she had drawn of a Vindicator she had spent a week with during her exploration of the Exodar. She took another drink of the water, using another small spell to cool the water down for herself.

Character: Thorlan Breaker
Location: Loch Modan
Thorlan finally arrived at an abandoned camp, looking like a former orc clan group.
"Oh thank the Light," Thorlan said, walking over slowly to scavage for any food of bandages that may be in the area.

Feng took the drawing and scanned it thoroughly. "This is a marvelous drawing, Tahlia, you are a skilled artist. I daresay if you were to take up painting you would rival the some of the finest artists of Pandaria. But I am afraid that the Shodo-pan are not all that akin to the Vindicators. I have read much on the customs and societal affairs of the races, and the closest comparison that I would be able to give of the races you know, would be the Far Seers of the Orcs, but then, we are yet different from them as well."
Feng took a long drink from his bottle, and began to feel the warming sensation of the alcohol. "The Shodo-pan are the clan leaders of Pandaren society. We can commune with the spirits, and we are masters of the control of the Earth. But, we are also the masters of the Wardance. We lead armies, sit at council for the Empire, and most importantly, we lead our clans. I am of the Iron Paw Clan. It is named as such from the progenitor of the clan, who developed a style of Wardance in the same name. Sadly, the style itself is lost to the ages, but there are yet many styles of Wardance remaining. I myself have been able to study six styles, and have mastered four of those six."

Tahlia chuckled slightly, taking her diary back and quickly writing down what the Shodo-pan had told her. She looked up into his bemused face and smiled. "I'm... a combination of a historian and a cartographer. My true dream is to record as much as I possibly can first hand, or read as much as possible. As for the artist thing, I prefer to use my pictures just to record things, and to make sure I keep a solid picture." She told him, and looked up at Feng.
"You said your mastering the 6 styles... what are those?" She asked, interested to finally get a chance to learn something for herself and not get second hand information. Tahlia knew that she differed from most mages, as she had reached her full potential in magic long ago, and could possibly become stronger, but she wasn't really interested in that.
((ooc - heh yeah, go back a few chapters of Light and Death, and you'll see Darklock.... something morec used but spiraled out of control.))

Feng laughed and took another drink. "I am sorry, Tahlia, but I cannot explain the styles in great detail. They are taught solely from a grandmaster to pupil, that is tradition, and I cannot break it. I can tell you that each focuses on a different field of combat, Strength, Speed, Trickery, Defense, Avoidance, and Focus. The beauty of the Wardance is that when mastered, each can flow seamlessly into the next without hesitation."
He took another drink and continued. "As for your position, I admire your goals. You would be a kindred spirit to any Pandaren. We thirst for knowledge. The Imperial Historian Mojo Stormstout, brother to Brewmaster Chen, has compiled one of the greatest collections of historical documents in the world. Sadly, I have only dipped my claws into the great pool of knowledge that is the Library of the Empire."
He drained his bottle and called for another. "But, I am being boastful and rude for not allowing you to speak," he chuckled, "Please, tell me of yourself, of your people, your family. Anything you wish to unveil."

Thorlan searched the ruined camp, trying to find any type of food or medical supplies.
"Puny human!" someone shouted, Thorlan spinning around with his shield high. An orc was rushing him with a large, jagged axe, intending to try and kill him. Thorlan kicked some dirt into the air, causing the orc to flinch for a second.
"Die!" Thorlan shouted, slashing his blade across the orc's chest, killing him almost instantly. Thorlan stood their panting, still fatigued heavily, knowing he couldn't pick another fight.
"Need to get in and out," Thorlan said, trying to find anything now.

"Interesting." She said, copying down information about the Wardance. "And I understand about keeping things between master and student. After all, I am a mage, and as the non-magical folk are fond of saying "There is nothing like a magus when it comes to keeping secrets"." She said with a humourless chuckled.
"And it sounds like at some point I must head to Pandaren, as your boosts of the library there has truly peaked my interest." Tahlia said, then leaned back in her chair, closing the journal. "As for my history..... not exactly a 'happy' tale, but it's interesting." She said and stared off into nothing before starting to speak.
"My father and mother met before the first war, their master's, Magus Zachary Ashburn and Galeon Brightfire, were good friends and wanted them to be friends as well." She said, thinking back. "My father told me once that my mother, Sheril Morningwood, was the most 'annoying and infuriating' girl he had ever met. Of course, from what Master Brightfire told me, my father wasn't much better. My father was Telnar Martin, a fairly powerful mage, but he and my mother defied both their own famlys to be with each other."
"My family.... I hate my elvish family, they hate me as well so we're both evenly matched there... thought 2 of my cousin's aren't bad. As for my father's family; there all gone, killed through out the course of the 2nd - 3rd War, with the last few dying after the events of the Wrathgate. My father himself.... he's missing, and has been since the Cataclysm itself. He's the one I'm looking for." She told the Pandaren, trailing off slightly after revealing that.

Feng showed the concern he felt for the young magus. He took a drink from his bottle, and changed the subject. "Tell me Tahlia, what are some of the lands you have visited. I should particularly like to hear of the Eastern Kingdoms. The Pandaren have been able to accumulate much historical information and many works on cultures, but we have very little on the landscapes and vistas of the world. Most was told us by our correspondence with the Settlement and the few adventuring Pandaren who made their way to the old world, but even this is limited at best."

Thorlan was about to leave when he found a red ruby like gem. It caught his eye and he couldn't stop looking at it, wanting to pick it up. Slowly he walked forward and touched it, his mind instantly being sent into some sort of realm... the realm of dreams.
"What is this?" Thorlan said, wandering around trying to find a way out.

Tahlia was glad for the change of subject and held out her hand and spoke a word, and her atlas journal appeared into it. The pandaren raised an eyebrow at that, but kept quiet as she opened it. "Unfortentatly, this is from before the Cataclysm, I haven't been back to the kingdom's much since then." She told him apologetically, put laided the slightly larger book onto the table between them.
"Stormwind, the bastion of human lands... or so they like to think heh." She said with rueful chuckle. "It's an interesting city, one that has recovered well since the assault of the orcs in the First War. Their king is a little.... fantical, but for the most part he is well loved by his people, and he cares deeply for them. The cathedral of Light, and the Keep itself are the most impressive buildings there." She said, turning to the picture of both she had sketched at one point.
"Ironforge... now there is a place you would be welcome to my pandaren friend. The mountain dwarves are well known for three things; Battle, Booze and history." She said with a laugh, flipping to a picture of the great gates of Ironforge. "I've loved that city for a long time, the hall of explorers is truly a wonder. But, I'm not a huge fan of the cold so I try to only visit it during the warmer months." Tahlia told him.
"Captial City." She said sadly, looking at the section she had on the old Lordaeron city. "Once the Northern version of Stormwind, now it is home to them." She pointed at an undead at another table, talking to a blood elf. "I've been to the Undercity once... and I have no desire to ever return." She said, and left it at that, remembering the destruction of the once proud human city.
"Silvermoon City..... the most beautiful place on the Eastern Kingdoms, home of my other half, the once proud High Elves, now the Blood Elves. It has recovered well since the invasion of the Scourge, though the Tainted Scar will be there for all time, even with the attempted recovery of the Ghostlands by the circles." She said, passing the atlas to the Shodo-pan to look through at his leaisure.
"What is Pandaren like Feng? I've heard things of course, and of course Brann's descriptions in his journals as well." She asked, looking over at the bearman.

Character: Thorlan Breaker
Location: Realm of Dreams
Thorlan wandered around the realm, trying to find a way to escape it. He saw millions of images floating around him, each an individual dream. He could hear the whispers of each one, driving him insane from all of the talking, all of it trying to flood his mind.
"Stop! Stop it all!" Thorlan shouted, tripping backwards into a vision of what seemed to be a worgen...
