If there is one complaint I have for Legion, it's the X'ure quest line. They're really pushing the whole 'Illidin was just misunderstood all along' angle there. To be honest, it's getting a little tiresome thanks to how blatantly transparent the effort is to get you to like him.

Indeed; all I do is roll my eyes at the quests.

As for Greymane's son, he was killed by Sylvanas during the Forsaken invasion of Gilneas. Sylvanas shot him in front of Greymane. This all happened back in Cataclysm, which was about three expansions ago.
small clarification: She didn't WANT to kill Liam, she was aiming at Genn Greymane, but his son Liam jumped in front of the shot at the last minute, and sacrificed his life to save his father

No frigging kidding. The last quest is easily the worst of the whole bunch.
In no small part because she flat out tells you, in no uncertain terms that you're SUPPOSED TO FEEL BAD for killing Illidan. That we must attone for our horrible sin.
Right.
I gotta attone, and feel bad about killing the murderous psychopath that was kidnapping orcs, pumping them full of fel blood, and brainwashing them to be his personal cannon fodder, the guy who, as time wore on, became paranoid, and delusional (thinking he bested arthas in his duel with him, when he got his ass handed back to him on a plate), the guy that felt that destroying an entire continent just to kill the lich king (and causing a second sundering casually) was a jolly good idea, and who cut a swath of destruction and death across so many night elven villages, THAT guy, I'm supposed to feel bad about killing him.
Because I'm the A-hole. Not him.
Xe'ra.......... go #$%& yourself.

You know, the funny thing is, I actually suspect X'ure is a Legion or Void lord trick, and all this is what Illidin first suspected, another way the universe is jerking him around. I mean think about it. Anything that might have confirmed what X'ure is was sidelined. The naaru that was supposed to wake it got smashed before it could even look twice. Turalyon never got to say just what it was, only that it was important, it's desperately trying to push the idea Illidin is the real hero of the Light despite literally all evidence to the contrast, and everything we know about it came from it.
I mean, maybe wishful thinking on my part, but Legion was renewed my respect for Blizz's writing ability so who knows...

It could be...or it could be a trick of the Light itself; after all, Light isn't always good, so it could be Xe'ra is running some kind of game that it needs Illidan to be a pawn of. I mean, we all know Emo King is one of the easiest people in the Warcraft universe to manipulate as long as you butter up his enormous ego and over inflated sense of self worth.

Isn't that a majority of the lore figures?

Some are, but Emo King is the easiest to do it to, since he's convinced that he is the ultimate thing of existence.

Nah, she's the real deal.
you only unlock Light's Hearth by using the Tear of Elune, who is implied to have created the naaru in the first place. So at the very least, she's a genuine, real, actual naaru. She's not a demon, and she's not a void lord.
Whether or not she's good is where the real question lies. What are her plans? what's her agenda? Why is she doing this? Why is she, and she alone, pushing so aggressively for illidan to become "The Chosen One" even though he is most certainly not fit for the position? We don't know. not yet anyways.
Part of me wants to think that she's deceptive. That even though she is a being of light, she has her own ulterior motives, ones that DO NOT align with what the army of light, the other naaru, and the holy light itself want for sentient races across the universe.
Adamsm and I actually discussed this at length in-game a few weeks ago. Ultimately, we both kinda agreed that we're probably giving blizzard too much credit, and the simplest explanation (She's an extremely heavy-handed and unsubtle ass-pull for redeeming illidan out of nowhere) is the more likely. But my wishful thinking is adhering that she's not what she seems, and that while she's a real naaru, this doesn't automatically means she's one of the good guys. Just like anyone who wields the light, isn't automatically good by definition (Scarlet Crusaders for example)
We'll see in time.

Idk about that after how he hid like a scared child from Kil'jaeden.
Yeah but think about it; in the original lore, before the Illidan book came out, he convinced himself that he 'won' the fight with Arthas at the Throne rather then getting his arse kicked. He then convinced himself that he made the Illidari to conqueror the world rather then creating it as a last ditch attempt to save himself from KJ and the Legion. Even on the Temple, after all of his forces were crushed, he still believed that he was going to win out over everyone else.
As of the Illidan book though...the delusion is gone, but he's still convinced that only he and he alone has the true vision on how to defeat the Legion. If that meant he was going to mutilate, mutate, torture, murder and destroy millions, well that's okay; he's going to save the universe!

Okay. So since the cool kids seem to be doing Order Hall reviews, I figure I'll do a warrior one. Both because I have very mixed feelings about it, and because I sometimes feel like the only person who likes my warrior.
So, first some context on my "class fantasy" as a warrior. Conan the Barbarian. I'm not some great, fated hero of yore. I'm not a knight in shining armor. I'm a guy doing what is needed to get by, and I'm not afraid to walk up to unspeakable abominations and punch them in the face. This is how I've always seen my main, and it's why I've always disliked self-healing abilities and weird psuedo-magic being forced onto the class.
And so this was the mindset I had when I first stepped into the new content. Spoilers from here on out. Also, note, I went in totally blind. I had no prior knowledge about this storyline of my class hall or anything.
So. What my first quest, as a veteren of every war, wielder of an Arcanite Reaper, forger of a wide range of powerful arms?
I'm asked to go cheer up Saurfang, who is being emo up on Krasus Landing. Okay... I'll go with it. I reach the great Orc, general of the Horde forces. He tells me his pain, the guilt over the losses upon the Broken Shore. I had been there, I know such horrors. And he told me he planned to go back, to cut down as many demons as he could before he would join his soldiers, and his dear son.
"I will join you."
Oh don't tease me like this Blizzard! Such determination, returning to the site of our greatest defeat, intending to leave our mark or die trying? This was too cool for them to actually go through with.
And then, I found myself flying down to the Broken Shore. Excitement welled within me, the chance to stand shoulder to shoulder with Saurfang, in an epic final stand against the Legion? The hype levels were off the charts.
And then we get shot down, and Saurfang goes down over the ocean. And, unless I'm crazy, we've yet to hear from his for the rest of the expansion. But, in his place, I get some hammy, funny Vrykuls to fight beside. Still pretty cool, as we carve through demons. And then we face a Pit Lord, and my allies fall beside me. Rage fills me, and I blow every cooldown I have, tearing into this #$%^&*!. I was not dying here without taking him with me.
And then, we both fall. I sit back, slowly realizing that I literally died.
From there, I'm thrown into Skyhold and declared the greatest warrior on Azeroth. Odyn names me his champion, and I get to hang out in his mead hall for a bit before needing to decide on an Artifact.
So. That derailed quickly. And, while it never again hits the sheer hype of the Broken Shore, Skyhold itself is certainly cool.
The same can't be said for the Artifact missions. They're all terribly easy and boring. They never make you use any warrior abilities, they never punish you for being in the "wrong" spec, and none of them have interesting characters like other classes get.
One of the strangest things about the warrior storyline, compared to the others, that I've noticed. From 102 to 110, there weren't any class quests. It was a huge drought, in which I nearly forgot that my goal was to recruit the Ulduar watchers.
And by "Ulduar Watchers", Odyn meant "Hodir and Thorim" because MImiron and Freya aren't even mentioned as you fight your way through Ulduar. Hodir gives chase against the fleeing Legion general, and I'm given the task of chasing him down.
And then I had to wait FIVE FRIGGEN DAYS to finish the missions leading to the quest. Because my hype wasn't allowed to get too high, as I prepared to storm a Legion-held world with the armies of Skyhold.
But, regardless, the day comes. My forces amass, and we assault the Felblaze Ingress. Powering it, we open a portal to where Hodir is being held, and I lead Odyn's armies through with a battlecry. We tear our way through demons, culminating in myself heroic leaping between Fel Bats to kill their air forces, like ^&*!ing Spiderman if Spiderman wasn't !@#$.
Crashing the last Fel Bat beside Thorim, we cut down the final guards, and find Hodir. Alas, we are too late, Hodir roars in rage and attacks us. Only, I know how this is going to end. I've known since 101, because Hodir was listed as a follower.
So we beat him to 1%, and he magically gets better. We go back to Skyhold and... that's it. Storyline over, thanks for playing.
All around. It started so strong, and then quickly derailed, and just sort of continued getting progressively worse.

I pretty much share your thoughts of the warrior Campaign. I really wanted to have some memorable warriors as "champions". But well, thats how it ended, I dont hate it but surely it could be better.
Also, talking about how Ilidian's lore has been developing, specially in this new content, I really feel like his story is progressing like Kerrigans did in Starcraft 2, since Wings of Liberty as a antagonist, then in Heart of Swarm as the prominent "not as bad as we thought" character and then became the redeemed salvator for being perfect in form and perfect in essence (son of light and shadow, some kind off).Killing a bigger threat, the Xel'naga (void lords) and ascending to a god-like plane (Titan like form?).
I've been thinking about this, I knew I wasnt the only one following the lore like this but I didnt know and shoocked me that such threat was here and and that a moderator was Venezuelan :O

Thanks man. I'm really curious about all the class campaigns, but there's so much stuff to do I haven't gotten around leveling any other class at the moment. Currently doing paladin, but going at a snail's pace, because I can only play so much per day, and my DK hogs all my current play time. I don't think I'll be able to fully devote to my alts for months to come.
So far, we've talked about the DK campaign, paladin, mage, hunter, and warrior. If anyone else wanna post a plot summary of the other classes, please do so :P

I've been trying Dh and rogue. But at snail's pace in a well. Between my mage and hunter, there isn't much time for anyone else.

Ilgynth has fun whispers
to find him drown yourself in the circle of stars.
Flesh is his gift. Your true creator
At the hour of her third death. She ushers in our coming.
Five keys to open our way. Five torches to light our path.
From the earth he draws strength. Our earth. Our strength.
Its surface blazes bright. Masking shadows below.
There are probs more. Gonna see if he whispers some more.
But from the first two, N'zoth is the one behind curse of flesh and is under a starry place. A titan thing underwater?
The pillars or the dragon aspects are used by the old god for something?
Sylvanas must die like the dragon aspects in the hour of twilight for the old gods to win?
Thrall gonna go deathwing?
Suramar/halls of valor?

It hasn't been addressed anywhere, but my conjecture is that we simply cleared it out. That means the shadow council are gone, as are the arakkoa, and the ethereal (There's a new nexus prince during the artifact quest for arcane mages and disc priests) as well, and the auchenai are implied to be too far gone to rescue, so we just wiped them out.
As for the naaru inside, isn't he reborn during the hero of mag'har questline? I'm not sure, its been quite a while since I did it.

So, some Emerald Nightmare spoilers, since I don't know if it's been brought up, or how many of you guys raid anymore.
After killing Xavius, his body becomes a Night Elf corpse, and the Nightmare fades away. The spirits of Ysera, the Nightmare Dragons, Cenarius, and Ursoc are hanging around, purified. And the Shadow Priest artifact seems to imply that N'zoth consumed or absorbed what was left of the Nightmare, using it to break his prison.
