Meh. Rokhan is already in the game in dragonblight. Its not that I think him a bad character, its just that he's.......... just there.
He's a named character in the strategy game, but is otherwise devoid of personality, and didn't had enough going on about him to endear himself to me. Granted, the same could be said about vol'jin and he got most of his characterization in the MMO, so maybe Rokhan will end the same way.
But for now, I'm way WAY more excited about Saurfang being back, than some named troll I've never really felt that attached to in the first place.
Ohh and blizzard better make Saurfang impossible to kill. Like, if alliance players try to form up a raid to kill him, Saurfang better be attackable, and more than capable of bringing an entire 40man raid down effortlessly.

Doubt you'll see Allliance players in your phased Garrison.

Rokhan's role in Dragonblight is most... Disapointing. It would be like finding Chen in pandaria and all he does is a quest to kill a wind serpent. That's all.
Rokhan is also quite forgoten. In 5.3 Chen mentions the days of WC3 and "Forgets" Rokhan, the troll that was the only support in the group.
And Rokhan and Chen had around the same amount of personality in WC3. But remember the Mok'nathal are in WoD and Rokhan is BFF with one. Kinda want to see what kind of troll he is.

It'd be a shame that he showed up only on the garrison. Lady Liandrin shows up in at least 3 more zones. In the case that Saurfang does show up outside of a garrison, they better make him unkillable.
Though your comment does make me think: What happens if you try to go to the opposite faction garrison? will you see an empty patch of land? A generic place?

I hate how hunched the orcs look. This is Zandalari all over again; except the opposite.

Orcs where allways had hunched backs...

I hope he's killable. And I'll kill it from afar, just before you're going to deliver your quest to him.
/d-bag
Yeah, he'll be unkillable in your garrison, but if he shows up in a Horde quest hub, you bet there'll be Alliance groups forming to PWN him down.

It looks far more exaggerated to me now.

o_O why the belligerence?

=P and he'll gladly cleave them all in neat little bits. You obviously have never faced in when he was current. Between delivering roundhouse kicks to anyone who deals a crit on him (with no internal CD) having a cleave that affects up to 10 people which he will spam non-stop, and AoE fear that can't be resisted or dispelled, you have yourself a guy who could effortlessly wipe the floor with 40man raids.
During 3.1 I actually saw 2 raid groups of 40 players trying to kill him in borean tundra. All they did was provide new decoration for our lovely keep.

By "in the game" I meant more than a 2 paragraph cameo where we don't even get to see him cleaving the mantid. We just see him, he gives a short speech, and adios he goes.
I'm hoping he takes a more active role in WoD, because as SoO proved, he can still kick some ass like the best of the best despite his old age. I'm also glad he has his old armor back.

Just pickin' on you, nothing personal.
And I'm sure there'll be enough people ready to face the "ooohh look, there's a badass orc over here" now childless saurfang.

I'm sure there'll be enough people who think they're ready to face the "
BADASS
orc over here" who'll be quickly taught why his cleaves are legendary.
Fixed :P
Nobody is ready to face saurfang. The only way to make it even remotely fair, is if you vastly outlevel him. Even today, if you go to borean tundra and try to kill saurfang, its a daunting brutal task that requires multiple healers and tanks. And this is from an NPC that is 2 expansions old. (For comparison, Muradin in Storm Peaks, or Halford Wyrmbane in Dragonblight, are ridiculously easy to solo these days. Because they're tuned for lvl 80 characters. At 90 they're jokes. Saurfang however, even at 90 is REALLY hard to take down, and back in WOTLK, it was flat out impossible)
Varok is no pushover.

Ohhhhhh
Kadgar and a new Warden are meeting in the horde garrison.
I knew the alliance and horde would be working together on this one. I hope that lasts, frankly I'm quite tired of this war BS. Now I'm wondering if prominent horde NPCs will visit the alliance garrisons. I know even have a deep respect and reverence for Saurfang (You can see 2 guards talking about him in Howling Fjord, gushing about how if he was there, he'd take down the vry'kul besieging their base single-handedly)

Blehhhhhhh......I'm hoping that will be changed in Live so we don't have a forced Alliance/Horde thing and we can just do what we want based on our factions and not have to work with those we dislike.

Why would you dislike vol'jin mon? D=
Post by
Adamsm
It's not that I dislike him, I'd still rather have the faction mean something and we get some quests for our groups that doesn't over lap with the other.
Also, I know you and most of the player base love Saurfang...but I'm not that much of a fan; the guy is a living legend, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather not him show up at my garrison with whatever is replacing the Kor'kon come WoD.
