Hahaha dat Gif.
Yup. I am excited about WoD (mainly for the new character models and because I love orc lore), but there are a lot of pretty significant problems popping up already.

Personally, I think Garrosh is going to be killed by another character, (maybe Grom or Kairoz) Though I really would have liked to have killed him myself.
Hmmm, hadn't think of that. Ok, yes that'd work too. As long as he's DEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAD I'm willing to accept that (I just wanted to do the honors myself U_U it wasn't fair that this was denied to us in Siege of Orgrimmar, I had been waiting for that moment for SIX YEARS)
As for Gul'dan, if he allies with us, I guarantee that he will betray us for the Burning Legion before the expansion is over.
Who knows. I'll tell you this much, if we don't get to kill him I'm gonna be VERY upset. He is by far THE character I hate the most in the entire franchise. Even more than blackmoore, jaina, garrosh, or varian all mixed together. He's by far the most monstrous character ever, and one of the biggest laments I had when I began playing wow is that Gul'dan was already dead and thus I had no way to give him a well deserved ass kicking.
Now here we are in a time-traveling(ish) expansion and we don't get to fight him? WHAT.THE.HELL.
Do you mind linking those posts for me Rank?
Sure. However none of them are in english. They're basically interviews in french and german with Blizzard's lead developer Ion Hazzikostas. I saw the translation summary on a different website.
Here are the original interviews:
Number 1
Number 2
Number 3
And
here
is the summary of the translations of each.
Hahaha dat Gif.
=P
I try to use it only on emergencies. This constitutes as one for me.
That's really my reaction when I read that bit about Gul'dan. No cursing, no screaming, no swearing...... thre's just........ no words man. Absolutely none.

Same here. I'm excited for the expansion due to a number of factors (Thrall is back on his plate armor, Garrisons, new models, I can see pristine, functional, non-ruined draenei architecture that is NOT a Naaru ship, etc) but there's quite a lot of problems I have with it already and we haven't even started it yet.

Garrisons
Well, I would like it more if it wasn't only orc/human architect. Fells like good old boring Stormwind/Ogrimmar v9001.3
They could go with:
The arcitect goes with the player race. A dwarf player get dwarf buildings. Trolls get Zul'Garrison.
It has bit of evrything. Horde has troll huts, tauren totems elven mage towers, goblin workshops etc. Realy shows it's more to the factions than what was showed in WC1.
World of Warcraft needs to progress beond Warcraft 1-2 where the universe was all about human and orc plus some sidekick races.
Gul'dan
He probably helps us becouse the enemy of my enemy is my friend. And we need a reson for not to kill him so that he can be alive for 4-5 patches and then he "betrays" us and summons the last raidboss.
In short, we kill him later.
orc lore
I'm more for Dreanei lore. But the problem is that Varian and Jaina is going to be in this expac. So my hopes are not too high. Some point the dreanei are going to be brainless and know nothing of faith and kneel before the anime wolf god king chin.
Garrosh
It would be amusing if it's Grom who kills him. But it might be like the lich king. We hurt him but thrall gets the killing blow in a 5/10/25 m.

Now, before I say anything else, I KNOW this is all pre-beta stuff, and as such subject to change, its entirely possible that more will be added, blah blah.
But man this is concerning me.
What you are seeing here is the character creation screen for orcs in WoD. Notice something? advance to 0:45
All the faces are the same D=
Other than minuscule differences that can't be noticed unless you have a magnifying glass (Such as minuscule wrinkles) its the exact same face, the exact same expression, everything 80% identical. This worries me.
Now, I'm well aware of all the key factors: A: that this is all pre-beta, that B: Blizz said that all the models are still not done, etc etc, but there are valid factors to be concerned too, namely, that the worgen and pandaren ALSO have only 1 face with very minor variations between them.
Other than tiny variations of fur color and spots, its the exact same facial expression, exact same everything.
I sincerely hope this is not final.

Bah. This was brought up on MMO champion weeks ago. For one thing, it's Beta, and not everything has been put in. For another, it's a death knight, so you can't see eye color.
I think we shouldn't overreact about Beta, and wait and see what happens when the actual game comes out.

A: that's not a death knight, that's a hunter, this is a different video. (There's two eyecolors, yellow and blue)
B: While its true that beta is beta (I said so at the beginning of my post) Blizzard already has show before that they're perfectly willing to just put 1 face with paltry differences. (Worgen female, pandaren female, and blood elf males) for a race. So the background for concern IS there.
I am well aware that this is a work in progress, but I'm still concerned. Lets hope they don't go the route of the pandaren with the new races, and give a fully detailed new face to everyone........ that also happens to be the ONLY face.

Waaaay to early to be worrying about this, since it's Alpha right now.

Meh, people said the same about the female worgen and pandaren. And yet look, they made it live just as they were in the alpha.

Troll and Tauren female Alpha models didn't though.

Which is why I'm saying I'm just concerned. I'm well aware this could go either way (they'll either add more variety of faces, or they wont) I'm not automatically predicting a female Pandaren/worgen 2.0 scenario here.
lets hope that's not the case, since to be fair, it is pretty early on in the development cycle.
Come on blizz, don't make me lose my faith in you =(

I'm more worried that blizzard will be unable to ever let go of the WC1 filosophy of the game can only be Orc vs Human.
I have heard of Wrynns and Proudmoore showing up in WoD, that can't be good IMHO.
It's early, development, the finished product should be as Blizzard said, a grafically buffed models, nothing more, nothing less. They probably just worked on 1-3 faces on the "completed" races so far.

*swipes brow*
Well, "maybe" my concerns over the single face were unfounded. MAYBE. Art Lead Chris Robinson said he'll address this in a future blog.
Hearing a lot of concern regarding same face, I'll address that concern in future Artcraft.
Will be interesting to hear what he has to say about this. Will he alleviate the concerns? or try to justify the single face with "but look, they'll have different wrinkles and warts". We'll see. We'll see.

Teaser from War Crimes...../sigh
"Garrosh Hellscream. You have been charged with war crimes, and crimes against the very essence of sentient beings of Azeroth, as well as crimes against Azeroth itself. You are also charged for all acts committed in your name, or by those with whom you have allied."
Garrosh merely stood there, silent and still.
Taran Zhu continued. "The charges are as follows: Genocide. Murder. Forcible transfer of population. Enforced disappearance of individuals."
The list of the heinous crimes alone was powerful enough to make Jaina tense. She glanced over at where Vol'jin and the other Horde leaders sat. She had heard of the treatment of trolls under Garrosh-and what the orc had tried to do to Vol'jin himself. "Enslavement. The abduction of children. Torture. The killing of prisoners. Forced pregnancy."
Anduin winced, and Jaina could not blame him. She thought of Alexstrasza and the horrors that had been perpetrated upon the Life-Binder personally and the red dragonflight in general. Kalec was very still beside Jaina. She looked up at him, meaning to offer him comfort, and instead found him looking down at her. He knew what was coming, and slipped an arm around her.
She braced herself.
"The wanton destruction of cities, towns, and villages not justified by military or civilian necessity."
The Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
Theramore.
"What say you to these charges, Garrosh Hellscream?"
Garrosh did not reply, and for a wild second, Jaina wondered if maybe, just maybe, hearing the charges so bluntly laid out before him would move the former warchief. She had heard of his anger at an underling who had slain innocents in his name, knew that the one thing even Garrosh's enemies must give him credit for was a passionate devotion to his race. And, at one time, he had also been given credit for honor.
She stared at Garrosh, hardly daring to blink or even breathe, not knowing if she wanted him to break down and ask forgiveness for his atrocities or to stand firm- so that they could kill him with impunity.
And then Garrosh smiled, beginning to slowly applaud, although the chains about his wrists hampered the gesture.
"The show has barely commenced," he responded, sneering, "and already I give it a standing ovation. This promises to be more entertaining than the Darkmoon Faire!" His contemptuous laughter rang through the hall. "I will not say that I am guilty, for that denotes shame. Nor will I protest innocence, for I claim no such. Let the comedy begin!"

What's truly 'frightening' is the fact that apparently Golden looked into actual war crimes from World War 2....and she wrote that drivel.

When did the horde or alliance admit to anything but total war?
Apparently Garrosh is admitting to nothing aside from a contempt straight out of a Bond villain's monologue.

With that teaser....I smell another Tides of War. Oh why oh why could they not get Jeff Grubb or Stackpole to do it instead /sigh
