The Sha sound like unversed...
Heehee
Heh, good as any reference.
they actually sound alot more like the Shadows from persona 3 and 4.
In those games, shadows are physical manifestations of the negative desires of mankind and in both games, they usher forth a world-shattering apocalypse that the heroes barely prevent, but in both games admit that as long as humanity harbors negative feelings such as anger, hatred, jealousy, resentment, ect, they would never go away.
gotta say I hope they handle them well, because they sound like the most interesting villain introduced so far.

Heh, there's the Unversed Rank
; works as well.

nah, because the unversed were negative manifestations of vanitas alone, whereas the shadows are more universal like the sha, (heck their names are similar too) and they are born from the negative feelings of humanity in general, they dont have someone holding them on a leash like the unversed.
they are just pure chaos void and darkness made manifest by the sub-conscious desire of mankind to end itself.
this line from the link you provided cements the whole thing: "
By all accounts, the Unversed are extensions of Vanitas himself.
" whereas the shadows from persona 1 to 4 are the extensions of humanity in general, all humans who harbor negative feelings, and are controlled by nobody, while in both games that i've played (3 and 4) there are some bad guys who try to use the shadows for their own ends, they dont actually obey anyone, or anything they exist only to be the antitheses of humanity.
Much like the sha are not a part of any single individual but a recopilation of the collective hatred of pretty much every race living in azeroth.
Would be awesome if they did like the shadows and fuse together into one massive entity, just like when the shadows fused into Nyx the Harbinger of the Fall.

I say Blizzard should give them what they want. In the same format the Horde was given it - tainted victories that stain their status as "the good guys".
I fully suport and endorse this, sadly blizzard doesn't =(
Both sides should have had victories, losses and a few tainted participations.
the problem is that the alliance has not received enough taint. We got sacked with that god-damn blight (which was bad enough) and now valkyrs, I thought that maybe it was the turn of the alliance to receive some black rep, but noooo i guess its easier to depict the horde as the bullies.

I really want Thrall's Horde back...
me more than anyone T_T at this point the only thing keeping me in my beloved horde is the many friends I've made on my realm, but I barely recognize my horde these days. The Warcraft 3 horde.
When Bashiock promised way back before the cata beta started, that the horde would not lose its sense of honor, and that it would still keep the things that made it popular in the first place........... HE LIED!

:P BTW, people need to chill out and learn how to take a joke......
I've seen no end of QQ about the corpsegrinder bit on blizzcon, jeez, lighten up.
my favorite race in the whole game is the blood elves, its the race with whom I've identify the most (specially because they were led by someone whom they believed a hero, and in whom they poured all their trust, and this "hero" ended up being a complete and total whack-job, a very VERY similar situation of what happened in my country, so I kinda feel identified)
but anyhow, BEs are the race I feel identified with, and I dont get upset when they take so many jabs at them mocking them, like what metzen said on stage when he was announcing the expac, and said "war is coming, and its not gonna be pretty.......... unless you play a blood elf, whatever works for you"
;O and i found it funny :P

I don't want any
more
taint on the alliance. It's not that the alliance has not gotten enough its that the horde has gotten too much lately. Believe it or not, I don't like it when the horde gets the villain bat, but I don't want the alliance to be whacked around with the villain bat either.
more? dude, they've barely recieved a few scratches, I mean, yes cataclysm did added a lot of black rep to the alliance, but they didn't got sagged with something as embarrasing as valkyrs and blights, so no, they didn't got anywhere near enough.
Believe it or not, I don't like it when the horde gets the villain bat, but I don't want the alliance to be whacked around with the villain bat either.
Well I believe that if one side is smacked with it, the other should too. For the moment the 2 factions are at war, and the devs as well as all the fans agree that neither side is the good guy, or the bad guy, just to factions who are too opossed to each other to really get along on the general scale (even if on the individual scale they CAN be friends, such as what happened between anduin and baine, thrall and jaina, tirion and eitrigg, ect)
in order to portray a war where neither side is the bad guy, you either smack nobody with the villain bat, or you smack both in equal amounts.
WOTLK smacked us twice with that goddamned blight, and again with the broken front, cata smacked the alliance with gems such as breaking the truce treaty, assassins attacking both unarmed and neutral ships, mass genocide of entire tribes, ect, but then smacked the horde with MORE use of the blight (instead of less) and valkyrs.
Common logic dictates that the next murky, despicable move should had been made by the alliance, but alas, they really love to smear dirt all over the honor of my faction U_U
