Was just thinking about the Lich King in terms of psychology.
We know that Arthas took dominance in the mind, while Ner'zhul was banished to the subconscious.
So it's clear that the ego (the conscious decider) would be Arthas.
As far as the id (the selfish instincts, desires, and needs) would probably be split between Arthas and Ner'zhul. The id is unconscious, chaotic, and selfish. It probably would have been made up of parts of Arthas' id and then what was left of Ner'zhul, neither of them conscious or whole, but rather a mishmash of the two. (Think meiosis and the joining of gametes to form a zygote; the way individual alleles from both parents randomly join up to form something different from the two parts.)
Matthies Lenher and "the piece of Arthas that might be left inside the Lich King that holds the Scourge from annihilating Azeroth" seem to be the shriveled, dried up remains of what used to be Arthas' super-ego.
What do you guy think?

I think (and the Saturdays
agree
) that Arthas needs to have a sit-down with his ego.

I think its a great way to see it - but of course, my psychologic knowledge is pathetic.
Btw. We need a tribute to the Red Shirt Guy from Blizzcon.
there's already a tribute :P blizz added Falstad instead of kurdran in the game, and to pay homage to the kid, they added the "Wildhammer fact checker" next to him (and this NPC does has a red shirt)
now I hope they make the fact checker unkillable, because I raid alliance capitas at least once a month, and I really DO NOT wanna kill that NPC, that kid has guts, and thus I admire him, I don't wanna kill the NPC they added in his honor.
if we're lucky, it will be like the NPC for Ezra, the kid who died of cancer and had his very own NPC (voiced by him no less) in mulgore.

TB insists that that NPC is still not actually in the beta, despite blue confirmation.

I think the NPC was added in Patch 4.0.3 PTR, not in Beta.

I think the NPC was added in Patch 4.0.3 PTR, not in Beta.
nah, because the 4.0.3 PTR would have to be the "shattered" azeroth in order to have the coucil of 3 hammers on it.
the NPC has been created, but it has not gone live yet, it will be added to the beta realms in a future build.
I know this because I was going to download the PTR of 4.0.3 when to my dismay I found out that this was NOT the sundered azeroth, it is in fact the very same old azeroth we know.
Azeroth gets teared apart in 4.0.3a

What you actually know
; heh, goes with some of what I've been saying in different threads here, about what a regular Azerothian knows and doesn't know.

Been done.
The Headless Horseman
.
The lore of the Headless Horseman was explained through some quests in the previous years I think.
Oh well. (They need to put em back)
Edit: Pretty interesting read anyways =P.

Is that Appylon the soul render?
Edit: and is the
world
of shadows he sends you to the same as the
realm
of shadowns where you get your DK mount from?
A: no he calls his sword with a diferent name, the sword simply has the same model as appylon.
B: indeed it's the same realm of shadows where we get the mount, I wish they had expanded that more, I'm intrested in that realm of shadows.... is it like the emerald dream, but instead of being a copy of azeroth if no mortals lived on it, its instead a copy of azeroth if only shadows lived on it?
part of my RP involves my DK shifting involuntarily from the physical realm into the shadowrealm (Like halion does)

From what the Hyjal NPC's say; it's been 10 years since the Battle, and the only way for that to happen is if there is a major time skip to occur between Wrath and Cata; as it stands, it's only been 7 years lorewise since the defeat of the Legion and the death of Archimonde.
Plus you know... a lot of the changes to the world would take more then a few months to happen heh; the rebuildings and the like.
