I should had known she wasn't dead :P
blizzard loves to recicle characters, heck at this point, soon Antonidas wasn't really dead, just missing.
and Liam wasn't merely dead, just a flesh wound. Then we will get that Lothar wasn't really killed, just sent to the future to arrive as the cataclysm was starting. and culminate with Admiral Proudmoore who somehow managed to stay alive by some other crappy explanation.
it breaks the reality of this game when SO MANY FRIKKING PEOPLE die, and later return as if nothing happened.
:S this is getting annoying.
Well, Siniestra looks very %^&*ed up there... she survived but not unscathed (I want a good explanation of how she is alive and unwell).
Captcha: enable moonscape (?)
Wait... if that is Sin.... why is her face more or less intact.. that was a big part of Night of the Dragon, how most of the left/right side(can't remember 100%) was scarred and melted from mating with Deathwing after he underwent his lava dragon change.... It's possible that's some type of construct Deathwing created from the remains of his ex-consort, but I don't think it's the real dragon woman, Dragonax did eat her after all.

Hopefully those are just boss mechanics, and not actual future lore...
I don't want to trade Alexstasza for Deathwing! D:

Eh probably part of a fight between them, each trying to corrupt/heal the other.

It doesn't really surprise me to see that a few of the Highborne turned against Azshara. After all, you have people like Dath'remar who ended up siding with Malfurion (I think) and were there after the Sundering.

The majority of the Highborne were the Queen's pets, but there were those who felt that what they were doing was wrong and tried to stay 'normal.

With Cataclysm, Blizzard is showing that not all the Highborne were bad. There were some who didn't wanted the world destroyed by demons.
I personally like that, only the ones that served directly under Aszhara are the "bad" (and most of them turned into Naga after the Sundering) and the rest were just normal Night Elves who used Arcane Magic.

Or, fed on a Demon for 10 thousand years, with a slightly insane Prince leading them(the Shen'dralar, the new Highborne mages rejoining the Night Elves heh).

Well, Tortheldrin and Immol'thar have been dead for a while now and the prince was one of the "bad" Highborne.
If you were under the rule of a crazy magic-addicted prince who has the only source of magic to satiate your thirst of it, you wouldn't question him.

Actually, beyond attacking the Ogres, the Prince wasn't evil; he lead his group away from the War of the Ancients when it first started up, not wanting to be part of the madness of his Queen or have his group die 'needlessly' in the battles with the Legion. He and his forces captured the Demon Immol'thar to make up for the destruction of the Well, so that they could keep their immortality at all cost. But he did lose his marbles over the course of the 10 thousand years.

Using a demon as a magic source for sating you addiction wouldn't be seen as a good thing in the eyes of most people of Azeroth.
Obviously, you can judge the whole Shen'dralar for the acts of their crazy leader.

Right, as he didn't force any of them to stay; had they wanted to, the Shen'dralar could have left Dire Maul and returned to the Night Elf lands... the fact that they didn't, proves that their need for magic out weighted any desire to live as the new Night Elves did. Yes, they weren't the best, but they did what they could to survive(sorta like the Blood Elves heh).

The Highborne, while de créme de la créme of Azshara"s forces, seem to have a large number. There's the Shrendalar, the Naga, the Satyrs and the High Elves (and eventually Blood Elves and Wretched). Seems to be alot for an elite group.

Well, it was more like a caste, really. You were born into it, that's it - You were a part of that tier of society and there was nothing more to be done. I think that the Highborne were certainly a minority, but not by any means a tiny fragment of night elven society at all.
