Welcome to the wonderful world of shamans. I'm glad that you're enjoying your shaman, it is a fantastic class. I'm also pleased you chose to take the Enh route through leveling. Although Ele has its charms (I'm slowly working on leveling another shammy Ele on a different server), there's something so much more satisfying about beating the crap out of something rather than just spamming a spell at them. IMO, of course.
If you haven't already, you should definitely give Trollvink's Enh leveling guide a look:
http://www.wowhead.com/?forums&topic=94480. Although I personally don't agree with his talent build (mainly his choices in the Ele tree; I don't care for Reverberation and see little point in taking Elemental Focus) he does offer one of the best pieces of advice for lowbie Enh shamans: use Water Shield.
If you just look at how Enh shaman operate in endgame, everyone uses Lightning Shield, and for a long time this was how I tried playing my shaman. LS is a fine skill, and you'll get even more DPS out of it leveling because things will actually be attacking you, but at low levels, we can have mana issues, and Water Shield single handedly solves those (our 41 point talent, Shamanistic Rage, does an even better job, but you won't have that until 50). Throw on a WS, and beat stuff up; when you're done, heal and move on, and within the first few seconds of your next fight you'll be at full mana again. One of the reasons Enh is so fantastic for leveling is that it has almost no downtime, and between levels 20 and 50, you'll have WS to thank for never having to take a drink.
It's a great class and a great spec, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
