oh look, a caster staff legendary
or something we will have to destroy at the end of the dungeon.
However, the abyssal maw sounds like a fun raid.
It is not a staff, it is an axe.

Who said a weapon had to be a weapon?
Maybe its a rock with water-laser powers?

The people of Azeroth are a strange lot. A mighty being has an item with which he can destroy the world (control the seas and the land's in trouble). Do the people of Azeroth tremble in fear, cower and plead? No, they immediately go after the powerful being to try to get the item: It must be mine! Gimme, gimme, gimme!
It must be really disconcerting for holders of powerful items. As soon as a way opens between them and the people, the people charge across/through this way and start attacking them! Poor Deathwing has no idea what he has unleashed on the elemental planes.
