Sporebat pets have an ability, Spore Cloud, that leaves a cloud on the ground for 9S, doing damage over time and reducing the armor of any enemies standing in it. It is not a direct damage attack.
Question: Does Spore Cloud stack with other armor reducing effects? Secondly, if it does not stack, which does it not stack with? Major (Sunder, Expose, Acid Spit) or Minor (Faerie Fire, Curse of Weakness, Sting)?
Since it's not a single-target debuff, I'm leaning towards the stacking effect. Obviously, having one of your hunters switch to this pet is going to be a boost in raid dps, but only if it does stack. Has anyone tested this for sure? I'm at work right now, otherwise I'd check myself.

on a similar note...does the
tallstrider
effect raid bosses?
2-3 tanks 3-4 heals and 18-20 hunters with tallstriders=low damage raid with a hell of a time looting mail

I think the pet abilities may have been nerfed when wrath came out. They were insanely powerful at the end of BC. I was able to inturrupt Blindeye's heal with nethershock, but the ability never seemed to work on caster bosses in Wrath, even just in heroics.

while taking a pet for their unique ability over the fotm pet does reduce single target dps hunters aren't raiding with BM hence little reliance on the pet's ability to deal outragous dps
would love to get some clarification on the tallstrider and a level 83 raid boss but in the meantime it is indeed a great trash ability
say a 6 mob pull, that's a guarunteed 6 missed incoming attacks for the tank from just one pet which both the tank and healers will be grateful for

once again someone has to bring up the sig =P..there were at least 3 arguments ppl started and continued on their own over it yesterday alone
it isn't 0.999 it's 0.
999
it's a repeating number that goes on infinitely, i'm sure a lot have seen enough tangents over the sig to get it
it's gimmick math with digit manipulation and the concept of infinity, it's meant to be amusing not some profound life changing formula that has to be critiqued over and over to ensure it's correct and doesn't ruin someone's life who swears by it...sure beats a roflcopter, failboat, stfu truck, wahmbulance, or calling everyone i've never met on the internet a scrub in my sig...i do that in the actual post if i feel like it =)
on a lighter note it does suck that all you see are wolves and the like while so many other pets go unused because they're maybe 30 dps behind the norm but the thing is
nobody raids as BM anymore so your pet's deeps is of no major consequence so bring something with a bit more utility or flare

Also, when is the change coming that let's us spec our pets to anytree we wnat? Cataclysm?
Yes, I think so. I cant wait. The way I see it, this will benefit BM hunters the most--since we are the most restricted by pets now, esp. in pvp.
Imagine a ferocity specced silithid, chimera or worm coming at you all big n' red!
It will actually make some of the pets with useful abilities raid-worthy. With no warrior in the group, a worm ferocity specced (to not totally kill dps) would be a nice advantage, for example.

I've got one response saying no stack with Faerie Fire and one with no stack with Sunder Armor. Has anyone tested this? I'm gonna head out to the Nagrand arena here with a druid and a warrior in a bit to see what I come up with.
