My warlock is specced 21/40 Destruction, and yet the site says, "This talent build seems to be most suitable for: PvP > PvE > Grinding"
Also, despite having gear from SSC and 2.3 badge gear on both my paladin and my warlock, it recommends me being in Mag and Gruul.

Your PVP vs PVE score for talents is 177 vs 175, pretty close, still a few talents push it towards PVP, will take a deeper look into it.
A quick gearcheck on Armory reveals that your chars also have numerous Kara epics and pre-Kara rares, this lowers the overall gear score quite a bit, there are plenty of upgrades even in Kara for them ;)

I'm sure the site is still in 'beta' or whatnot, but something odd occurred. Yesterday it was telling me two of my gems were on the lower end, which they were. It also stated that I was prepared to hit the lower 25-mans, such as Gruul and Mags. Last night I upgraded both gems, about the only change I made, and now it says I'm only prepared for Kara and Heroics and my gear score actually went down, even though the new gems added more +hit and took away nothing.

can't
be upgraded in Kara.

Yes, the various parameters of the calculations are under a constant change to make them more accurate, according to the feedbacks you guys provide.
Yesterday PVP reward items received a "nerf" regarding the gear score to bring them closer to reality, resulting in lower scores. Quick gearcheck in Armory: you have many rare items equipped, in fact Kara and heroics are the places for many possible upgrades for you. This does not mean you can not perform well at Gruul with a good raid, still, your linear upgrades are in Kara atm.

Work is in progress to boost certain items, like the FSW set for example, that will give these items their real value, right now they are a bit underestimated.

Thanks for the feedback, and yes, quite a few upgrades to get out of Kara still, I was just a bit taken-aback by the change in recommended raiding locations. Thanks again.

Agree with Powerstream's post.
Something i would love to have access to is real suggestions on upgrades, not just the list on every item with a higher ilevel in the game that wowarmory provides.
love the site, great work.
the idea in general is great, however the work needed to implement such a thing (properly) is quite huge. just think Armory, they have more resources manpower and item data wise, still they stick to the not so accurate upgrade list ;)
I will try to implement it using Wowhead's excessive filtering feature, but don't expect it soon.

Have tried it on my feral druids tank gear my Shadowpriest and a friends Holypriest in DPS gear. On the druid and SP it worked nicely, but on the Priest it complained on all spelldamage enchants on the gear.
maybe you could add like a checkbox where you could specify
DPS / TANK gear on feral druid
Heal / DPS gear on your holy priest
and other affected classes to.
and get suggestions on enchants and sutch after that.
a holy priest in dps gear is something that does not make sense PvE wise, hence the unaccepted enchants and such.

I like the idea very much, but can't really be universal as everyone has their own play style. Gives some nice pointers though.

Just wondering how i compared/rated my pve score?
For example i have a score of 110.46...obviously this isnt a great rating but how do i compare it to other people/builds?
In short: you don't ;)
PvE/PvP/Grind score is an internal representation of the weight of your talent build towards the three directions. All your scores have a meaning when compared to each other, they are fairly useless in comparison with other characters' scores.
If your scores are not too far from each other then your build is most probably a balanced build for all purposes (well, according to the current calculation factors ;)). If one of your scores exceed the others significantly that is a sign that you spent talent points in many/strong talents that are most suitable for that direction (PvE/PvP/Grind, that is).

That's sure, the goal is not to be smarter than the player, but to give hints on things he may not be aware of. If you know you have a good reason against a hint just safely ignore that one ;)

I'm wondering how it decides how low level items. Its telling me several of my items are low level when they are level 70 blues.
Overlord's Helmet of Second Sight
is a low level item? Same with
Chestplate of A'dal
.
My
Sha'tari Wrought Greaves
however are not low level. So its not because the above items are only blue.
Paladin's
Starcaller's Plated Legguards
are low level as well.
The rest is mostly correct with saying low level.
