Thrall, in that part, says: "Perhaps I was wrong to expect better from a human." That was out of character for Thrall.
What are all those people doing there? Why isn't it a room with just Varian, Thrall and Jaina as a mediator? They wouldn't have to play up to the crowd all the time, and they might actually get some constructive talking done. Why do the neutrals always screw up? Same thing in Dalaran, you'd think the Kirin Tor could arrange it so Garrosh and Varian wouldn't meet, at least until the situation had been explained to the end.The attack came just as the summit was about to start, they hadn't actually been talking about peace yet.

Hymer is right, Taruenmoo.
Thrall was acting pretty racist, and Jaina was sitting right next to him ffs.
Tabetha sacrificed her self for
this
guy?
Well arn't that the pot calling the kettle black.
Yeah Thrall was out of character, based on a bad writers decision. But it doesn't draw away from the fact Varian appears less like a king and more like a dictator or warmonger.

It was? I thought they had just arrived, then Garona attacked and Varian left in a rage about yet another attempt on his life.

Indeed.

I like Varian, I just hate his attitude towards Orc's, I don't think it's called for, and I hate nothing about you Dark, I just think you need to have a more open mind to the faults that Varian has.
I'm of the opinion that if they get Varian past this unneeded rage and hatred, he would be one of the best King's the human lands have ever seen.
Also, edit: Adams, not Adam, it's my last name.

He is not justified in hating orcs (to a degree), but I think he made the right call in Undercity.Yes, and he did the right thing there, killing Putress and heading off to slay the demon. But I don't think Varian should have tried to pick a fight with Thrall right then and there, as Thrall had nothing to do with what had happened to the humans(be they scarlets, Lordaeron loyalist, Southshore people or whatever) was caused by RAS, and honestly he should have been after the undead corpse standing next to Thrall over the Warchief himself.

I suppose Skreeran had a point, seeing as how Varian likley wants Thrall and "him" dead too.Thank you... :P That's really the primary reason I don't like him very much. I didn't do anything to him... :(
Its fairly easy to think he is acting on the past, and not the present. But, I still think seeing Garona flashed him back to tons of painful memorys. But giving Thrall the benifit of doubt would have been a expericenced choice.Well certainly. He's not Spock, he's human, and he acts on emotions from time to time, it's to be expected. I just wish he'd cool off and look from my PoV from time to time.
the Thrall from Lord of the Clans and Warcraft 3 would have killed Varimathras on sight, and shut down RAS asap... then again, he may have not known either existed.I agree wholeheartedly.
Perhaps Anduin would have been a better leader. Varian was being immature in denying the Horde a chance, but I stand by Lady Prestor's spell having somthing to do with it.The difference between Varian and Anduin is that Varian grew up with the Horde being entirely evil. They had no point of view, really. Doomhammer did, because he didn't drink the blood and thus knew things like honor and respect, but the orcs in general were entirely evil.
Anduin, on the other hand, will grow up with the possibility of peace with the orcs, who are really no worse than the humans. I think it'll be a lot easier for him to understand them than it is for Varian.
Varian has to forgive the Horde to make peace, Anduin does not, really.
And as for the second war, I see what you mean now. Had Doomhammer tried living in peace with humans, tons of orcs would backstab him, seeing as how he was not forced to drink from Mannorth's blood, and I guess he was a hero to a degree... At least for the Horde, in the eyes of Alliance members, he was insane.Yep, thanks for looking at it that way. He didn't really have a choice.
And as for what would I do in his shoes, I don't know... I'd probably be pretty mad too, but I'd probably try to be more reserved. Give Thrall a real chance to explain himself. Demand that Garrosh be left back in Orgrimmar or whatever.

I agree, but its not like Thrall would just stand by and let Sylvanas be killed, or would he allow the humans to reclaim Lordaeron. We is the Warchief, its his responsibility to watch for the Forsakens activitys. That's very true. Blizzard have really watered down Thrall in WoW.
However, realistically, it's difficult to keep an eye on the Forsaken because of the distance between Durotar and Tirisfal.
In game, it's just so that Blizzard can give more reasons for the comic hero Varian to get mad.
The comics shouldn't be used for advancing the Lore when not everyone can get them though, in my opinion. -.-

Is it me, or has the guy who draws the pictures in the comics changed after comic #15? The new guy is not that good....They change artists every 5 issues it seems sometimes... -_-

That's normal DC and Wildstorm SOP, go back and read the first issues of something like WildCATS or Authority, then look at them now.
