A lot of Disco healing is preference, but there are a few things that you need to do as ANY disco priest. Here are MY list of priorities as a MT Healing disco priest:
ALWAYS Maintain WS Debuff on the tank.
Penance on EVERY CD
Keep Renew Rolling on your target
Flash Heal when 1, 2, 3 are already either in motion or on CD
Oh and don't forget not to die. haha. Others may have different priority lists, but this is mine. I wonder, what are others doing?

GH is a spell for holy priests. Use penance instead. It's far faster and more mana efficient for a disp priest. FH when penance is on cd.
This is now becoming debatable. Many Disco Priests are starting to adopt using GHeal due to the larger DA's they provide, although I am with you, I'm still a FHeal user when I'm Disco.

Many Disco Priests are starting to adopt using GHeal due to its larger HPS and HPM when used (and spec'd) appropriately.
Cleaned that up for you Oscar.
The larger size of the DA bubble from GH is relevant only in proportion to its HPS. In other words, ignoring for the moment the additional crit bonus from
IFH
:
If your FH hits for 1000, it will crit for 1500 and DA for 450.
If your GH hits for 2000, it will crit for 3000 and DA for 900.
If the cast time of GH is exactly twice as long as FH, the average DAPPS of each spell is identical.
(DAPPS = Divine Aegis protection per second.)
If the cast time ratio changes, or the average healing of either spell changes, the DA potential will not be equivalent. But the fact that the bubble is bigger does not necessarily mean it has more DAPPS.

This is why I generally use Greater Heal (If necessary, most of the time it's not) right after shielding + penance for the shorter cast time from Borrowed Time. Unless I have borrowed time up and running, I never use greater heal (Unless I'm bored of flash heal spam and it's an easy fight.)
EDIT: It's VERY important to note that penance DOES NOT eat up the borrowed time buff.

i don't see why greater heal is used more however, id like to see the evidence that this is the case. We have talents that effect the critical trike chance of flash heal alone. I can see Gheal coming back into it with say 10% - 15% haste, but i feel that's a way off yet, yes?

Greater Heal should only really be used (IMO) if you have Divine Fury + Borrowed time up, or just borrowed time. However, for "spamming" purposes, it probably shouldn't be used, except in very specific situations. (Such as charging a big heal for after a breath attack or some such)

If i am main tank healing, i like to keep Power Word:Shield on me also (1,5s for 30s sounds like right. I feel safer even on AoE fights.), substitute Flash Heal with Binding Heal when i'm taking damage, keep Prayer of Mending bouncing arround, throwing shields when possible. No, i don't really like Flash Heal fillers. If I must, i will, but i prefer to use my mitigation tools around instead of spamming tank when not needed. On unknown fights, yes, I spam the tank with FH, you never know when a brutal spike is incoming. Ocasional GHeal hasted also, but i'm not much into this style (not even Divine Fury specced).
And if my mana is really abundant (those uber-boring Naxx fights), i purely switch Flash for Binding Heal. One less target to worry about for my aoe partners.
If i am on AoE as Disc, i'm a shield beast. shield everything on sight, keeping Prayer of Mending on cooldown. As I was the only Disc in my guild, i kept the tank on Focus to keep him shielded with priority over the rest of the raid through the fight. Occasional Renews also - mainly on myself and the tank.

3.1 patch notes
. From June 6. It was big news, obviously...I'll assume you were holy at the time?
Divine Aegis effects will now stack, however the amount absorbed cannot exceed 125*level (of the target). It will also now take into account total healing including overhealing.

If Im not mistaken I think Divine Aegis stacks so regardless of using Gheal or Fheal your DA procs will roughly be the same. When the penance nerf hit I decided to test the Gheal build. I specd into Divine Fury and tried to utilize Borrowed Time but it just didnt work out too well. I found it really frustrating when my Gheal turned into overheal 50-70% of the time.
Read Paolo's post above re: DAPPS. I didn't really think of it that way but it makes total sense.

not only does DA stack, but if you do stack it, it will refresh the 6 sec duration of it, so it is possible to get the 125*80= 10,000 DA bubble....just not that likely.
For me, I dont have GH on my bar, and only use renew on heavy damage situations on the tank, or as my main heal for the dps if they took a glancing blow.
other than that, OP is doing fine
