Intellect is the thing you will want the most. Spirit as well, along with a lot of mp5. I know some people say you don't need it very much, but it saves my life all the time, specially when i have to start spamming holy light. I prefer using flash of light because it doens't eat up y mana and it has a much faster casting time, but when the tank starts dropping and you can't seem to heal him, don't be afraid to switch to holy light along with

and a few holy shocks whenever you can.
http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=31842
is also your best friend when you have to start using holy light a ton, as it only uses 50% mana. Also, since you are a healer, try to keep to plate, but don't be afraid to switch to cloth and leather and mail if it's better than your healing gear. Although i would recommend you stay with mail and plate, if you come under attack while in a five man or raid and the tank is dead, you're screwed anyway. So if you have a good tank, don't be afraid to switch to other armor types (except cloth, most pallies w/ cloth are considered noobs on my realm) if it will help your healing. That said, go test all these theories out and find what you like best, flash of light or holy light spamming.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings, hope it helps.

Gemming for Intellect is simply the best way to extend your gear. Even through nerfs it still shines as the stat to stack. Crit has lost a lot of appeal, and generally Haste is the better stat to look for on upgrades. Mp5 is still a flat stat; if you find it on your gear, then do with what you have. Otherwise, I feel Mp5 is not worth gemming or enchanting for.
Neither Holy Light nor Flash of Light spam is really acceptable. Part of playing a Holy Paladin is your judgement (lol) and watching the raid's health along with the tank's health.
If I wipe 19 times to new content does it matter how I gem?
I don't know. Is it your fault that your raid wiped? Were you OOM?

Are you talking 1.04seconds with JotP up? Impressive :) Also the mp5 you listed is "in combat" of course? Just to clear it up

The reason i said spirit is cause in Cataclysm they are taking out mp5 and making spirit the sole mana gain. I know cataclysm is kinda far away, but be prepared y'know...

Nice attempt to cover up your mistake, but there's no getting away from what you said: "Spirit as well,
along with
a lot of mp5," which is wrong in pretty much all respects. Pallies do not want spirit at all, and should not focus on stacking mp5 (take what comes on gear, but don't favor it over other stats).

Hey. Bad healers trying to give "advises". Here's a parse of my healing during a VoA 25. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is a perfect benchmark for healing. There's constant damage on the tank, and a full raid-wide AE; pretty good balance of roles a Holy Paladin can apply themselves to.
Skada: Skada: Healing for Koralon the Flame Watcher, 23:57:32 - 00:00:22:
Skada: 1. Brique 888.6K (5289.5, 21.3%)
Skada: Skada: Brique's Healing for Koralon the Flame Watcher, 23:57:32 - 00:00:22:
Skada: Holy Mending 6.5K (0.7%)
Skada: Flash of Light 267.8K (30.1%)
Skada: Beacon of Light 237.8K (26.8%)
Skada: Holy Light 222.5K (25.0%)
Skada: Holy Shock 100.4K (11.3%)
Notice how much I used Flash of Light. It's just what the encounter requires that changes your spell usage. If you still think HOLY LIGHT SPAM OMG I HAVE THE MANA FOR IT actually applies, stop going OOM and stop being useless.

While you have a point - in some fights you may do better by using FoL, well geared and skilled paladin can (and should) use mostly HL. Couple of examples of hard mode IC (pre 3.2) fights for you to study (just a note - I am not the paladin I am givng link to):
http://www.wowmeteronline.com/combat/detail/177243229#healingout
http://www.wowmeteronline.com/combat/detail/157401631#healingout
In 3.2 we got quite a nerf to our mana restoration, but we still can manage to use HL if not all the time, then for most of the fight.
Hardmode IC and Algalon have been noted by Blizzard to be encounters they're not proud of when probed for justifying healing nerfs, and those are the only two fights where the incoming damage is simply too much to have a paladin doing anything but spamming Holy Light. The second of those parses is pre 3.2, but the first one isn't. I looked at the recent one specifically.
I poured over that combat log, and I couldn't really get the information that would have told me if he had help on his target, and specifically, what kind of help he had. Was he only healing the Fusion Punches? No, but he still cast Holy Light nearly 90 times and had Light's Grace up for nearly the whole fight. I wonder if he was stopcasting. He wasn't dispelling the DOT, his target did that for him. He used Divine Plea twice, probably coordinated with cooldowns from the tank and the holy priests.
We can't simply "manage" this without some serious consideration, our mana regen isn't the question at that point. It simply looks like a well executed kill, with some stupid raid deaths from
High Voltage
in the final moments, so I'm saying it's safe to assume he had some serious consideration from the rest of the raid. Normally you can't expect this. His spell choice was made possible from the help he had from his raid.
