There was a time when creatures went from perfect, pure, mechanical forms to their current flesh, and when they started to die rather than being invulnerable.
It was very early in development, when the wireframe models got skinned and the combat system started working.
Discuss.

This topic is a lie and a fail or maybe a bad joke
It's a joke.
Not for all audiences either.

Think about it. Who created all creatures in WoW? The devs.
What were creatures like VERY early in WoW development -- pre-alpha, for sure?
Presumably, there was a time when there was no combat system working, and there was a time when the models weren't all skinned yet.
At that time, models would have had no skin or hair, and been immortal. The transition from that is clearly the Curse of the Flesh.
Obviously, not a lore answer, but then, a lot of things in the game refer to external-world events.
