Wowmeteronline vs World of Logs

Each of these sites parse the combat log and give an estimate of disc priest absorbs along with total healing. Wowmeteronline always states lower numbers than World of Logs or RecountGuessedAbsorbs, so I tended to trust it a bit more since all three are merely estimates and I couldn't believe disc was quite as overpowered as the other two reports indicated. I figured the numbers were somewhere in the middle...
Wrong
.
It seems Wowmeteronline is counting more than a few PW:S casts as overheal (60% in some cases?), even on fights where it's not possible. Sounds like World of Logs may be the best place to get an accurate reading of our overall output.

However
, it seems
World of Logs is bugged on the Twins fight in CC
. It's currently counting the light and dark absorbs as shield absorbs for disc priests, so don't get too excited when you account for 40% of the overall healing done in 25 man.
I know I was rubbing my eyes the first time I looked at that log.

I spent a lot of time on the WoL forums when they were getting the absorb estimation set up. They spent a lot of time tweaking how they evaluate absorbs and contribute them to the effective healing. They're very diligent people with a great eye for design and presentation. When our priest got his legendary hammer, it was showing up as something like 4-10% extra effective healing via the shield effect -- that seems about right for a legendary.

The graphs and the tables are extremely helpfull and give alot of useful information. WoL is also
a hell of alot faster than WMO
.
This, alone, turned me off on WMO almost immediately.
