So, I did some 2's, with some random teams and random guys I've never pvp'd with before and a couple 3's matches last night.
Lets just say, the arp upgrade I made pays off.... =)
I'm not hitting as hard as I was, but I did manage a 10.6k FB to finish off a silly feral that thought he could ignore me while he sat in cat form.
I managed to squeeze 31.8% arp out of my gear while still holding over 700 resil, and I grinded daily heroics for the triumph badge emblem idol(25 emblems), which made up for my agility losses swapping gems and the proc refreshes during the duration, so it basically has a 100% up time.
I'm actually very impressed at how much pressure I can put out with this new set up.
I'll try to post a PvP guide for feral soon.
One thing I'm disappointed about with the new tier, is it lacks armor pen. The only piece that I would want out of the whole set is the shoulders, and blizz decided to make the new pvp shoulders so sexy looking..... =/

as far as ArP for pvp goes, i haven't actually tried it myself but have been on the receiving end of it. doing WSG yesterday as resto, i had some run-ins with a warrior who was somehow absolutely *brutal* despite having 29k health. he almost killed me from full health in a span of only 3 seconds... i escaped from his melee range with a mere 3.5k health - this is with 1k resil (gear + resil flask) and 22k health totally unbuffed. he hurt badly enough that i actually armoried him after the game to find out WTF was going on.
the fact that he had the top-rating furious axe was, ofc, a large part of the pain... but he also had a lot of ArP gear and had 20 ArP gems in just about every slot. ouch.
Warriors who are full furious or near to it, have a great weapon (PvP or PvE), stack ArP to the max are indeed really scary.
I had a friend of a friend who is high rated showed me how he destroys people:
(1) keep rend up
(2) wait for ArP trinket to proc
(3) sit on a Taste for Blood proc for 4 or 5 seconds. The next proc comes at 6 secs.
(4) run out
(5) Charge in
(6) Overpower, MS, Overpower (with the 2nd proc). in 3 GCDs.
All 3 Specials have a very high crit chance (~ 85%, 55%, 85%), and the stun affords about 2 autoattacks to land in that time.
so if he gets (not particularly) lucky and all 3 crit, you eat about 16k dmg in 3 or 4 secs. Worst case about 10k. So basically as resto you need to be fully hotted to survive and if he goes into bladestorm after the chain of hits you need to blow ALL your CDs to live. Good chance you won't live anyways.
I wish i played with a warrior who could reliably do this :-(
He then went on to demonstrate this in a BG with sweeping strikes up. Killed 2 people at once in mere seconds :-)
In general the dominance of ArP as a stat saddens me. Raid loot should not be pre-requisite for arena. It harkens back to season 3 and 4 where melee scaled off the charts and casters did not, and rogues with access Black Temple and Sunwell gear were bursting through any wall of defence.
However, in context of Ferals, at least it's something positive. So gratz on the upgrades Lightrain :-)
