PitBull help

So I downloaded Pitbull, installed it and extracted it into the Add-Ons folder. When I log into WoW and click Add-Ons on the character log-in screen, PitBull is nowhere to be found. My other add-ons are there, recount, omen, auctioneer, etc., but Pitbull fails to show. And of course, in game it is nowhere to be found as well.
I closed out of WoW and deleted my cache, re-logged but no change. This is really bothering me, as I know it should be working and the default UI is really cluttered.
Any help is appreciated.

I don't use Pitbull, but have you tried checking if the AddOn is checked? If so, make sure "Load out of date AddOns" is checked. If that doesn't work, at least check if it's working with a simple /pitbull

Like I said, when I click Add-Ons on the the character selection screen, PitBull is not to be found.

Quoted from Fatbeard on the WoW forums.
Sounds like something is wonky in your saved variables file for the toon that isn't working properly. I'd suggest deleting the Pitbull.lua and Pitbull.bak files in that toons SavedVariables folder.

Deleting then re-downloading?
Thanks for the responses.
I had this same problem when I tried Titan Panel and never figured it out.
EDIT: No pitbull.lua or pitbull.bak in savedvariables.

Are you using Windows Vista?
If so, you may want to make sure you are running world of warcraft as an administrator. This may throw off all your other addon settings, but it is worth it to reconfigure everything as an administrator. This way you can avoid problems in the future.
To run the game as an administrator, you need to right click on the shortcut icon and select "run as an administrator"
Tip: you can set up your shortcut icon to always run the game as an administrator by right clicking it > compatibility tab > at the bottom, check "always run as an administrator."
Hope this helps :)
