Neither, sort of. You should be looking at the Feral AP (druid-only) portion, which is a function of the DPS.

weapon dps and damage range are of no use to us, the feral AP is the literal translation of those 2 stats as a beneficial stat to ferals.
for cat you want crit, armor pen, agil, and ap (not in that order)
for bear
Furious Gladiator's Greatstaff
is all I have to say, agil and health..pretty simple.
seems blizz is steering cats toward polearms nowadays and future feral staves may become more bear friendly.

So in this case which would be best weapon to use
Marrowstrike or spire of weathering dreams

Pretty close call, until you get to that socket. Marrowstrike imo.

Marrowstrike, hands down. Crit is far more useful to us than haste.

Correct. I second this. Crit + socket + nearly 40 more agility (with socket bonus) makes Marrowstrike a winner.

Man does it feel good to be seconded by you Aadremelekh xD
I would like to add that I am looking out for this polearm as well, for my kitty offspec. I'm using
Twisted Visage
atm for both tanking and dps.
I actually don't know if it would be that great an upgrade, since I lose some (feral) AP and crit, but I gain 60 arpen. Even if I get a lucky drop, I need more hit to replace the 70 hit rating from Twisted Visage... So it'll probably take a while to test that out :)
Anyways, just wanted to share my pondering with the forum.

Don't be too concerned with the last few points of hit. If you haven't crafted
Footpads of Silence
and your current feet don't have hit on them, that's a good way to recoup a bit of the 70 you lose. When I got the
Vezax polearm
I replaced
Runed Ironhide Boots
with those crafted ones and even losing that 70 I had on the polearm I'm still left at
241 Hit Rating
(7.35%) which is more than enough for a raid situation where you're very likely to be able to be put into a group with a Draenei -- and even if you aren't, demonstrably un-problematic to have a 0.65% chance to miss.
