I'm just 71 and looking for any advice for the new zones/quests. What would you have done differently if you could level to 80 again? Which zone would you start in? I'm on the Horde side, worth mentioning since I've read that the questing experience differs greatly between the factions.
Is there anything I need to look out for? I know of the quest
The Battle For The Undercity
which makes Varimathras unavailable, so that players cannot complete his low level quests if they hadn't already. I'm trying to do every single quest in the game that I possibly can, so if there are any other pitfalls like this, what are they?
Any advice on the instances? Do you find running instances to be better experience per hour than solo questing?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I know I must be level 77 to get cold weather flying, so I'm going everywhere on my ground mount. Any advice for a Northrend first-timer would help. =) Thanks!

Just do every quest in every zone in order of difficulty.

I don't know of any other quest chains that result in quests becoming unavailable. For what it's worth, I
hated
Icecrown, and made a point of doing as much as possible in Storm Peaks when I leveled my second character to 80, but if you're trying to do every quest in the game, that won't help you much. Instances don't give better experience per hour than questing, and if you're trying to do all the quests it would be slower to instance level even if it gave more experience anyways, since you'd have to go back and do those quests. If you want to get to 80 fast, ignore instances. Then, when you want to do all the quests in the game, take all the normal level quests for those instances and get them done while you're gearing in heroics at 80.

I believe with the new patch you just need lvl 68... Also assuming you are a DK by your name, Running UK/NEX until 73 brings very fast xp and they are easy groups to get. Just sit in lfg at all times while questing. I just tanked AN as dps spec at 71, finished 2nd in dps and we didn't struggle. I'm only using quest gear also...
