I disagree. We have great buffs and there is no need to make them better in any way.

Back in the Karazhan days, when Disc was PvP only, there were two types of Holy Priests...CoH and IDS. Blizzard removed the necessity to spec into either one or the other on purposes, and I do not believe that it is their intention to go back to the old way of doing things.
What you are proposing would make high end raiding guilds take one of each of these types of priests (Maybe not the Shadow, depending upon the encounter). Again, Blizzard has moved away from this.

I still want them to bring back the Improved Divine Spirit in disc, where it buffed your spell power. That's just a lost dream though.

To the point of not wanting certain priests for certain buffs that point is moot...
You dont bring a priest based on their buffs, but more so based on their skill to heal your tanks and the raid.
You kind of killed your own argument there.
Disco offers 3% raid-wide damage mitigation -- yes, it's "in-action," but that's still a big deal.
Holy offers great AOE healing, and Inspiration -- 10% physical damage mitigation for the Priest's target when they crit? That's pretty nice when you're throwing all those AOE heals around.
Shadow comes along because of all the utility they bring. Misery will make up for anyone not hit capped -- and if you have a Shadow Priest for every raid, that means 3% Hit that every DPS doesn't need to stack (see: drop Hit gems for Crit), and it's 3% Hit that the tanks get for free. They also are an HP fountain (check how much healing they do on the meters through Vampiric Embrace), and offer Replenishment (yes, other classes offer this, but that's purposely designed that way).
You mention wanting unique buffs for each Priest spec... well, they already have them. Just because they aren't cast before the pull doesn't mean they aren't still raid buffs.
And as for other classes -- a Shaman's Mana totem does not stack with a Paladin's BoW. Likewise, a Paladin's BoM doesn't stack with a Warrior's Battle Shout. And I'm not positive, but I'd bet that a Druid's GotW resistances wouldn't stack with a Paladin's resist auras, nor a Shaman's resist totems.
To backtrack -- since when is giving 214 Stamina not nice? Sure, every priest has it, but then again, every Paladin has every Blessing (minus BoS), every Druid has GotW, every Mage has Arcane Int, every Warlock has a Soulstone, and every DK has Horn of Winter -- no matter what spec. Does that mean you only need one of each?

Why bring a shadowpriest over a surv.hunter/destro.lock/ret.pally when hit rating is redundant to high end guilds who are hit capped anyway? I know it helps the tank with threat but threat is not an issue.
I have seen this a few times in the last couple of days and want to comment on it.
"High end guilds" ---
EVERY
raiding guild worth their salt will have a steady Shadow Priest/Boomkin to provide the hit bonus.
"who are hit capped anyway" ---
EVERY
raider who knows how to play will be hit capped. If they have a Shadow Priest in their raid (
see above
) they can devote the 3% worth of hit to some other useful stat like SP, crit, haste, etc.
"helps the tank with threat" --- Please understand what
Misery
does. Unless these tanks are casting spells (which pally tanks do) Misery does
NOTHING
to help them maintain threat.
