I've lvled almost every class to 60/70/80 except mage, so I made one on the arena tourney servers and got a feel for pvping at 80 and loved it. Now, I'm on a pvp server and was wondering if mages are just as good at pvp while leveling, because a couple of my favorite abilities dont come around till later (spellsteal, mirror image, invisibility, etc).
And also I'm a big fan of arcane pvp...would it be bad to level as arcane? I see so few people doing it.

I leveled fire until about 32 or so, then saw some frost AoE grinding movies and had to try it. I'm committed to it till I'm done leveling, unless I see even-more-awesome movies before then depicting how kewl it is to level arcane or fire. Despite the danger, the satisfaction of looting 10-12 corpses all neatly piled at your feet is something every mage should experience.

Just a note to all those inspiring Frost AOE levellers.
Be very
careful
when doing this in a PVP server, since you will be constantly OOM, and .... unpleasantness could occur. :)
Oh, and until level 20 or so, what spec you have doesn't really matter, as the latest spell you get will still be doing the most damage, irrespective of what tree you spec into.
And don't overestimate shatter. It can kill you. :)

Leveled Fire.
It really doesn't matter which you level.
