Just curious if anyone thinks a PvPvE battlegrounds would be cool. I personally think it would rock! Basically that type of BG is where you have Alliance vs Horde against NPC attacking or defending a base, keep or structure. I hope more BGs are out in the near future or at least one that doesn't suck or takes 10 games to make it boring.

If I had a choice of an option of a new BG that did that, and not having a new BG, I'm pretty sure I know what I'd choose.
WoW needs more Vespene Gas.

There seems to be +1 battleground with each expansion,
LK has already 2 new BGs. IoC and SotA.

This is what I had in mind...
Horde and Alliance base at opposite ends of an island, area or zone. In the middle have a base that is NPC controlled. Whoever takes control of the central base wins.
AV isn't really PvPvE. Horde has their wolves and Alliance have their goats.

Oh god.
It'd be like pugging a raid, except you couldn't choose the people you ran with, without any leaders or coordination.
Combined with equipment damage on death. Sounds like a fun time.
LOL! What is your thought process? Use common sense. Dying from a creature here won't damage your armor. Lawl! Besides, that wasn't even the question I asked.
Pugging a raid? That's pretty much all BG... Again, don't know your thought process so here goes. It would be a normal BG, no repair cost (duh), you can still... oh jeez, what is that word... it's like before... create... PREMADE! Yeah you can still do that.

You don't lose durability if you're killed by a PC. As all the fighting here will be against NPCs, dying would hurt. Dying to mobs in WG makes you lose durability, less sure about the mobs in AV.
My point I was trying to make is that storming an NPC fortress is very similar to just running an instance or raid. Meaning you'd need at least some balance between tanks, dps, and healers, unless your idea of the BG is just a relentless zerg through hordes of NPCs that don't hit very hard.

It's called programming. In this BG you completely don't lose durability from dying. How hard is that to go through your mind? If you die from a WG mob then you're not a good player...
Storming an NPC fortress with the opposing faction attacking it also. If you could find any raid that is like this please correct me. There would be no threat so tanks would be useless in this other than taunt lasting for 6 seconds.

I will make this even MORE clear for you...
PvPvE Battlegrounds
Horde vs Alliance vs Native (there is an island between Southshore and Menethil called Tol Barad which would be great with this).
Horde, Alliance and Native all gain let's say 1600 resources. When your resources goes to 0 you lose and highest resource team wins. This means that the native can win. If Horde has 0, Alliance has 1000 but Native has 1100 then everyone loses basically. No one gains 3 marks or bonus honor.
The layout of this battleground would be two bases with a central fortress with attacking NPC with no threat but not immune to taunt. These native NPC will be all classes with different traits. Each time they die they will resurrect at the fortress grave yard after 30 seconds as a completely different class and trait.
You lose no durability from dying in this battleground but you still lose durability from attacking and being attacked just like all of the other battlegrounds.

Scenery:
Old Hillsbrad.
Description:
Alliance (south) and Horde (north) bases with a center stockade which has been given up by the wizards of Dalaran to the ones of Stormwind to aid the incursion against The Lich King. After this time Stormwind loses control over the stockade and they break out. The fight is Alliance vs Horde vs Prisoners. Each side starts out with 1000 resources. A few ways to win: kill the enemy to reduce resources by 1, retrieve tools and items from the stockade or enemy base and bringing them back to your base reducing theirs by 50 and increase yours by 25, or defeat their Lord which reduces their resources by 500 and hinders them unable to retrieve for 10 minutes.
