never have been and never will be a numbercruncher-- spreadsheets confuse the hell out of me.
But id like to see some numbers for the attack speed decrease (6% slower) from the infected wounds debuff in terms of mitigation.
there are quite a few talents that could be shaved down, 3 points is pretty insignificant, 6% slower attack speed could be nice

It's a 20% decrease in attack speed not 6%, 3/3 is 10% which stacks twice.
Over the same time scale, it theoretically decreases damage in by... well, 20%. Lets take a fictional boss who attacks every 4 seconds for 10,000 damage each hit over a period of 20 seconds.
4 seconds: 10k in
8 seconds: 10k in
12 seconds: 10k in
16 seconds: 10k in
20 seconds: 10k in
That's a total of 50k.
Now, this boss is slowed by 20%. The attack speed is now every 4.8 seconds.
4.8 seconds: 10k in
9.6 seconds: 10k in
14.4 seconds: 10k in
19.2 seconds: 10k in
That's a total of 40k. If you want to extend the example a little to include the unaccounted for 0.8 of a second, it would technically be
(24 seconds: 10k in, clipping at 20 = 1666 damage in for the period)
giving a total of 41,666.
So yes, a fairly hearty theoretical reduction in damage, however it's obviously rather more complex than that when you consider the various other factors involved in calculating combat damage.

Infected Wounds rank 1 have 3/6% attackspeed-reduction.

it's of little concern as a cat but if you're a bear it means you're tanking, if you're tanking it usually means a prot pally isn't the one tanking which means there's no prot pally to slap his 2 talent debuff which means you'd need your own debuff, which means you'd better have 3/3 in this talent
yeah it's 1 more talent for the same effect as a pally's but it also slows movement speed (doesn't matter a whole lot in pve) and it can also be applied to 2 targets at a time (3 during berserk+mangle spams) and quite rapidly compared to the on judgement slow of the pally

I wasn't going to do this, parra, but I can't resist.
just to remind people that infected wounds only effects the bosses 'white damage' and not any special abilites. So its not a straight 20% less damage
So, putting infected wounds on the boss makes him do white damage?
