Hey all,
I'm trying to see which is the best current Warlock spec out therebut accurate data is hard to come by. I am running a 41/30 Fg/Emb currently and seem to do ok in both raids and quests. I know some of my equipment isn't great too but I've only been raiding for 3 weeks so in time the better gear will drop!

Ok so I am looking to try something a little different. I've heard arguments for and against full affliction and full destro and I know that when operating correctly there probably isn't a huge amount of difference in terms of dps output. But I guess I still can't decide which to duel spec too.
Any advice or pros and cons would be appreciated...
Cheers 'locks

Destro and Affliction are close to being even in my opinion. However, Affliction can dish out more DPS - just eventually, if that makes sense.
I've found both specs to be very useful and I think your gear is about right to think about either one. If you like big crits and great burst (with replenishment thrown in) go Destro. If you like slowly tearing away at your targets health and then dishing out huge numbers at 25% (and have great survivability) go with Affliction.

Thanks for the advice Acabar... I'm still undecided but I'm sure I'll make my mind up soon. It's not so crucial as I'm happy at the moment.
Now as a secondary point again because I cannot find any definite info for this what should my current rotation be? I'm not sure if I'm missing a trick or not. Usually on quick fights it is:-
CoA - Corr - Immo - Incinerate spam... re-dot then soul fires when available.
The only change for bosses in raids etc is that I substitute CoE for CoA. Should I be using Curse of Doom? I've seen a few locks recently using it... I always thought it was too situational.
I'm also thinking of changing my glyph of immolate to a glyph of lifetap. would this be a good move? Again I see this quite a lot!
Thanks again all!

CoD is also better for demo, until you get decimation procs, then you switch to CoA for molten core procs.
Affliction should stick with CoA because it's talented.
Also worth noting is that CoD shouldn't be used when a mob has less than a minute to live.
And just in case you don't know, boomkins and unholy dk's apply the same debuff as CoEl, so only put on CoE if they are not in your group!

Ah... I usually raid with a Boomkin so thats good to know. Thanks for all the replies and advice. I'll go and think about whats been said!

There is no "best spec". All three talent trees, if played optimally, are very competitive.
From deep affliction, to meta, to deep destro, to 0-41-30 and 0-40-31
Ive seen insane numbers from all talents. My suggestion is choose whichever best suits your playstyle.

Ok...thanks for all the help. I've decided to duel spec to Affliction for a trial run. I've only re-specced once so far so IF it doesn't suit me i'll change to Destro.
Problem is I can't seem to find a reliable Talent spec. They all seem to be slightly different.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a good deep affliction build.
Cheers all!

It's in both the

and the
