I agree- thinking that it's a choice wouldn't in and of itself be discriminatory. However, I don't know many people who have taken the time to think about whether or not it's a choice without doing so because they disagree with it. It's hard to justify being against what someone is, and can't help being, even if you don't like it. It's much easier to justify being against what someone does, because then they do have control over it.
And, just to point it out, I know you don't support gay marriage, so by my definition you actually do support discrimination against gay people.

Do you mean legally and politically? I don't support the legalization of gay marriage, that's true, but I also don't support the legalization of heterosexual marriage. If you mean theologically, no I don't believe in homosexual marriage. Those are my religious beliefs. Despite my religious beliefs, I would never discriminate, or treat anyone differently, based on their orientation. Do you discriminate against me because you don't believe how I believe? I don't think so. Discrimination is an action. I have never been discriminatory against homosexuality.
Is it wrong? I believe so. But my beliefs don't equal discrimination.

I think a religion has a right to set whatever limits it wants on it's participants, who are then free to follow them or find a different faith. It's the legal matter that I was referring to- the barring of legal marriage for gays and lesbians. Marriage is a well-established legal establishment in most countries, as well as a religious one, and so to deny someone equal treatment under the law, or to petition or vote to deny someone equal treatment, I could consider a discriminatory action. If you don't feel that marriage has anything to do with the legal system, then I can respect that. However, I have seen very few petitions to ban all secular marriage, and quite a few to ban gay secular marriage.
However, I would say someone who just passively thinks that all marriage should be handled without government, but takes steps to block gay marriage and ignores anything to do with straight marriage, is still acting ina discriminatory manner.

Then I think you'll find that if you take a look at my complete views, I think you'll find them acceptable, and non discriminatory, even if you don't agree with their substance. That is why I find this CNN article so awful. It has a very "with us or against us" attitude, as if my views on sexuality make me automatically discriminatory.

But he's not arguing against you, he's arguing against discrimination rooted in the premise that it is a choice.

Is this directed at me?

Apparently, according to the American Congress,
Pizza is a vegetable
.
I found this hilarious, primarily because this is their solution to kids not eating enough vegetables in schools ("They won't eat enough veggies? We'll make new ones!"), and secondly because tomato is a fruit, not a vegetable.
Beat ya to it. :P
. But yeah, when I read that my only possible reaction was... /facepalm.

lol, I saw a post on twitter earlier that said "How long until Congress decides Pepper Spray is a vegetable?" and I didn't get it. Now it makes more sense.

The Girl Who Dared to Tweet
The title is a bit misleading. She isn't some sort of hero or something that stood against the establishment. She was immature, someone else overreacted, and now ZOMG she DARED to tweet.

The Tea Party's answer to the debt crisis.

With the embarrassing collapse of the “Super Committee” and its inability to come up with even a nominal $1.2 trillion “cut” from an artificially bloated ten year baseline, budgeting in the nation’s capital has reached a new low.

There were more 'biased' things in that article than that part. That part you quoted isn't really all that biased. It is a fact that the super committee failed, and that fact is a bi partisan fact. However, it was an opinion article. But it did serve to outline some great points for balancing the budget and getting the US out of debt. The Tea Party Debt Commission:
*Repeals ObamaCare.
*Eliminates four cabinet agencies – Energy, Education, Commerce, and HUD -- and dramatically scales back or privatizes many others, including the EPA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
*Ends farm subsidies, ethanol credits, TARP subsidies and government-provided student loans.
*Saves Social Security for seniors and improves benefits for future generations by shifting to a defined contribution that is controlled by individuals, not government. This proposal is based on legislation introduced by Rep. Jeff Flake (R-AZ)
*Gives Medicare recipients the same benefits as members of Congress, giving them the choice to opt into the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program (FEHBP). This is based on Senator Rand Paul’s (R-TN) Congressional Healthcare for Seniors Act.
*Cuts waste and duplication from Defense spending, and eliminate or move all programs from the Pentagon that have nothing to do with national defense.

The article writer was obviously confused as to refer to the suspect as 'him' or 'her', and put that forward to the readers to clear that up. What are they going to refer to the suspect as? It?

The Tea Party's answer to the debt crisis.
I love how the committee was equally Democrat and Republican each blocking each other but it's supposedly all the Democrats' fault.
Democrats: $%^& the rich
Repiblicans: %^&* the poor
Both: NO, &*!@ YOU
I think the complaint was the blocking of the proposed Tea Party plan, which was blocked by Democrats. And I don't like your characterization of Democrats and Republicans. Democrats don't want to hurt rich people, and Republicans don't hate poor people. I firmly believe that Democrats desire to end poverty and hunger, and desire the best for all Americans. And I also firmly believe that Republicans want to stabilize the national economy in a way that will benefit everyone as well. Both liberals and conservatives want the exact same thing, but they have different ideas of how to get there.
