Roger Ebert dies at 70
.
This is a shame. He was a great critic, IMO, and he helped lesser known works gain a larger audience through his approval (such as Marble Hornets).

Sorry to distract from Roger Ebert's death.

Just noticed that the Foxnews.com link has 'fair and balanced' under it...truly, don't think I've laughed that hard for a long time.

Then you don't belong in this thread. This thread is about news articles and the discussion of news articles. If you want to talk about the legitimacy of Fox News, go make a thread. I bid you good day, sir.

Last time I was to the US I felt compelled to photograph an advert for Fox News for that slogan. Virtually all news have their flaws and biases but in that particular case it has taken on the proportion of a standing joke.
I found
this
rather amusing. "American insularity, French insecurity, Canadian unexcitability, British embarrassment - Adam Gopnik on the inherent foibles of four countries close to his heart." Some rather poignant examples, in there. The
magazine
section often has good articles.

Dreadful. (mild NSFW)
The worst thing is, this is nothing uncommon. There are thousands of cases like this.

I... I... I don't know what to say... I'm shocked... With an axe? And 15 times? She was lucky that she stayed alive (great surgeons indeed). Yes that is common... I can't say anything more then People are People.
Aye, though I'd say that people are monsters, rather than people.
I actually picked it up from Iltalehti,
there
's the story and some extra stuff in Finnish, if you're interested.
