I've used the search feature but most are at least a year old and obsolete. I used to use this macro for my trinkets:
#showtooltip
/use 13
/use 14
It used to switch icons when I use it (for instance, when I used it the first time it would switch to slot 14's trinket icon, then when used again switched back to slot 13's icon), but it no longer does this. It stays on slot 13's icon the entire time. How can I get it back doing that? Thanks.

#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=<cooldown on trinket in slot 13> 13,14
Make sure that the trinket in slot 14 has the longer cooldown.

I have a question...why does this and other macros have the #showtooltip part in there? Is that for mouseover?

Yes, the #showtooltip displays the tooltip information of whatever abilities/spells are macro'd when you mouseover the macro icon on the action bar. Without it, it would just say the macro name.

I have another question regarding this matter. I "bake" my trinket in with a certain spell, for exampel, me as a shadow priest...
/cast mindblast
/cast "trinket name"
Works fine and you never forget to use your trinket.
My question.. is there anyway of getting rid of the sound that occurs whenever your trinket is on CD. The annoying sound of "item not ready yet"... Can I bake that in the same macro to get rid of the sound?
Thanks in advance!

/script UIErrorsFrame:Hide()
/cast Mindblast
/cast "trinket name"
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/script UIErrorsFrame:Show()
Two things are wrong with this. First of all the Hide and Show function calls are unneeded as the macro API evaluates the entire macro before generating an error, thus simply calling clear will remove it. Second, that will not remove the sound, just the text.
To remove the sound as well you need to do:
/cast Mindblast
/console Sound_EnableSFX 0
/cast TrinketName
/console Sound_EnableSFX 1
/run UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
The above works by telling the API not to play any sound effects before you attempt to use your trinket, and then turning sound effects back on after it's attempted to use it.

Awesomeness, thanks a lot
