Did you forget to enchant your gear when you upgraded?
A quick glance at your
profile
shows lots of missing enchants, including your Ulduar weapon!

No offense, but Id be pretty &*!@ed if someone was pulling 2k DPS in Ulduar.

your gems and enchants are all crazy wrong or just plain missing.
Get rid of every crit gem you have and replace them with Runed Scarlet (+19 sp) gems.
Enchant all your gear!
Head gems: +25sp and 2% intellect meta and get rid of the hit gem and put in a Runed scarlet.
Enchant all your gear!
Boots: Bad gem again use a Runed scarlet.
Enchant all your gear!
Aim for about 360 hit and you'll be fine. If your wondering what gem to use and you have options... forget about the socket bonus and use +19 sp gems.
Oh, did I mention that you should Enchant all your gear?

no but it's the only objective stat we can use on a forum like this and dps is the key to damage done since, high dps and low damage done suggests large amounts of down time (time spent not casting) which itself suggests issues.
if someone comes here claiming poor dps i think we can all assume that they also produce poor overall damage done numbers and give them advice based on that.
yes damage dealt is the important thing butdps is teh figure we can help with here.

dps is potential damage.
we can't play the game for the poster but we can give them advice to increase their
potential
damage. hence, we deal in DPS. they transfer that to damage done as best they can.
there are discussions to be had about how to deal with problems of high dps but low damage out but they are generally separate to these kinds of discussion.
essentially though, "dps" is just a term used to describe success in raids. if someone complains of low dps they mean "i'm not doing enough damage". lets not get hung up on semantics.

One thing I forgot to mention earlier was that your meta-gem needs two "blue" gems and you don't have them.
You only have one "blue" gem and the blue part of that is stamina!

Locks usually see better numbers with the crit meta gem in the head piece, just another option as its the accepted BiS gem for head pieces. But im destro, so may be diff with afflocks or demos.
really? wow... I've always though sp>crit in all instances... hrm I might have to have a look at that.

Chaotic Skyflare Diamond
vs
Ember Skyflare Diamond
25 SP > 21 crit rating
...but
+3% crit dmg >> +2% int
(for well-geared destro 'locks)

Rotation is Life Tap>>CoA>>Coruption>>Immolate>>Spam incinerate, then keep the SoTs up while waiting until the mob is below 35% and
use Decimate after every 2 incinerates
(to insure I have no down times).
There's part of your problem, to get max DPS from FG/Ember you need to be "SF-weaving", or standing the correct distance from the boss that you can cast a SF after
every
Incinerate.
Check the stickies for more detail.
So spell pwer is uber in all cases? According to the stickies, we want a more balanced increase in stats such as SP, Haste, crit etc. Am I not understanding that? This is not being sarcastic, I'm looking to make sense with this info.
For equal amounts SP is better than anything except hit.
And the new dumb question of the day: what is BiS?
Best in slot.

According to the math wizzes over on EJ, the stat weight for SP is 1.34, well above the stat weight for crit which is 0.87.
In my opinion, SP is THE stat to look at (if hit capped). After that: Haste, followed closely (very closely) by crit.
Also, I don't run, nor have I really ever, with 41/30, but keeping Corruption & CoA up may be a waste of a GC. I'm just guessing, like I said, never really spec'd 41/30.

You keep coa and corr because they are a good chunk of your dmg but also because they proc molten core.

I've done the changes recommended, and the DPS has shown I got very good advice. Thanks!
The question this leads to is, which hit enhancement should I use to offset the hit I've lost in my gear... food or potion? I'm only done 33 hit (I've got a draenei in my guild to group with, but the SPriest goes healing as does our Boomkin due to few healers). So I need 420 hit, I've got 387 after changes.
It seems food is the best way to go, since I can make a wealth of hit rating stat food that still gives me stamina, where as pot of accuracy prevents me from using flasks.
So should I go food, or am I missing something?
Flask of the Frost Wyrm
+
Snapper Extreme
/
Worg Tartare
= 125 SP, 40 hit, 40 stamina
Elixir of Accuracy
+
Firecracker Salmon
/
Tender Shoveltusk Steak
= 46 SP, 45 hit, 40 stamina
Also the flask persists through death, the elixir doesn't.

See again DPS is a hard value to discuss without being VERY specefic about which fight you are talking about.
Ex. I pulled 3.9k on ignis 25 and did 1.3M dmg - Presence 98%
Other lock did 4.7k dps, diff ignis 25 did 1.2M dmg - Presence 97%
Sorry to make such a late post in this thread but what does Presence mean?
I'm assuming it's something like the small amounts of time spent not casting or attacking between clicks or button pushes. Is that inaccurate?
