I was told to post this in the pvp fourms to get help. I know it should be in the lock forms and it is but,
I have been leveling my Aff. Lock for some time now. He is 72 and I have grown tired of leveling. So I jumped into WSG with pve gear and all. I learned a few things fast.
Playing with lvl 79 rogues with in a lvl 72 leveling spec is no fun. So I respecd to this,
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#IbxMrdrhkVAMIktbG0b:VwZ0c(I know, I know no soul link yet. I am getting it as soon as I level up some more)
The Dreadsteed is a big flaming sign to everyone that says “ Kill Me! As I am a squishy warlock who has not pvped enough to get a pvp mount yet” So, I burned through a few BG and got a pvp mount.
Also, Hiding is good. Being a target is bad. Knowing where to place my self is what really ups survivability. Need more "know how" thow
- Where do you place your self in each BG / Arena? Or how do you try to go unnoticed when in a group?
One thing I do is to find a healer and get him to work defense. With the pet stay button, I then park Big Blue / Fel-puppy next to him and find something to stand behind and use for LoS. At first glance the healer looks like a lone warlock. Instead of an easy kill, you end up out healed, doted and feared.
I did this at the mine in AB, A Pally, Mage and Druid tree showed up. I was able to keep the mage fear locked with dots and the tree banished. The Disc Priest kited the pally around me as I doted.
I not know if our attackers had and most of there CDs use up before or what but, we where able to where able to drop the pally and mage before more players showed up and killed us. (yea rogues!)
In AV I am a lvl 72 playing with 80s. Instead of going toe to toe with them, I Summon a Doomguard off the mobs with CoD, I will find the group and send him in on aggressive as I hide.
He is not a killer. Yet, he is a very visible target and most players will focus fire him. This keeps your other player free to burst away or heal up.
His cripple and AoE stun is good to help out the group. His spamable Dispel has limitless use and can be the bane of ret-pallys but takes some micro management.
I can health funnel him to keep him up. When I am channeling Heath funnel, I use the Time to direct my pet and keep a look out. Heath funnel can go throw LOS too so make use of Los! I will dot what is can with haunt and corr for the heals to keep up HF.
If you want to try this be warned, HF makes a Big red line that yells “Here is the person healing the thing you are trying to kill”
Also, When he gets out of range I put him on passive to bring him back in range. But when he is put on passive, He will come strait to you giving away your location.
Even if you put him on aggressive again before he gets to you, he will still return first before going back to attacking. To get around this you need to put him on stay away for where you hide when you are setting up. When you put him on passive he will go there and not to you.
To get the Doomgaurd I have big blue tank a mob (one of the rams) far away form any big fight. I put CoD on him and drain sole for more shards. As the mob gets low on HP, I stop casting and put Big blue on stay and then passive. When the mobs dies I put big blue on aggressive before the Doomgaurd pops up. This lets him taunt the Doomgauard off of you right for the get go.
I then put CoE and cast enslave. When he dies just go get a new one! Remember to turn off his rain of fire and recast Soul Link each time you get him.
There is thread on how to run with a doomgaurd when leveling. You should make use of some the tips there when using him in AV.
- At 80 will I still be able to get a Doomgaurd with CoD off the mobs? If I can then I am going to pick up improve HF in my spec for more Doomgaurd mayhem!
I am looking for sum gear to use. I have read the guide for 80 pvp starting gear and will get it when I get around to Level 80. Yet, until then I would like to have some fun in the BGs wile I level and grab some pvp / pve gear to help.
What are the stats to go for? I know Stam and Spell Power. Hast looks helpful for Aff. too.

thank both of you.
I know,
lvl 80 is better than 72.
Resilience - the more the better (even more so after 3.2!)
Soul Link is needed but, at my lvl i am dead in 3 to 4 GCD any ways.
ShadowFlame Is grate with the glyph but I cant get it until I am lvl 75
Destro at my lvl is hard with no ShadowFlame, I must find the time to cast Immo.
I have my level 80 pvp spec down,
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#Icx0rurhkVAMIktbG0hkhb:pjsc0zBut I did not intend this thread to be about spec as much a ways to go unnoticed and still do good damage, or and thing else in a BG that I may have not picked up on yet.
Don't get my wrong, I do well in BG. 2 days ago I ranked first in AB for the first time (do to damage done) and I dropped a lvl 78 shaman.
Warriors give me trouble, But I can get away from them if Death-coil and a fear lands. (Followed by a lot of hiding)
I am not even going to start with rouges. I do not have the tools yet to get away form them.
I did not know winter grasp was easy honor though. And yea, Hast is much better than crit do to resilience any ways.
