Multiple traps--could this perhaps herald the return of CC?

I don't raid SV, except on limited fights--like Thaddius--where I feel I hurt my group too much by remaining BM.
One of the things that depressed me about the overwhelming move to SV, and its dependency on BA, was that I felt it was the final nail in the coffin for CC.
I may be the only person who says this--but I miss crowd control. I was very very good at it. And I prided myself on that. I even just miss the chess-board-like way each pull was handled.
I do not miss heroics that last 2+ hours, dont get me wrong, but I do miss well-planned boss fights where I am not just shooting things and turning red every minute. I have always hopped there would be a balance, where cc wasnt needed for heroics, but was needed for raids. And by cc i mean trap-based CC.
And I thought BA meant it was dead for sure--since it locks out hunter traps, arguably the most versitle form of cc in the game.
Now, with BA sharing a CD with explosive and immolation, but NOT with frost and ice, I am hoping future raids will have opurtunities where hunter-trapping is needed again.
Any thoughts?

Problem is... trap is still inferior to Sheep, Banish, Repentance and others.
Sure, we can chain traps... but it's risky. And doesn't lasts as long as a sheep (mages can for example keep an add on Thorim on CC for the entire fight).

If anything, the trap update will just cause traps to actually be worth something in PvP. Snake+freezing+ immolation?
Ouch.
I just expect to see some of our other traps getting used more.

you forgot one thing, traps will last only 30 sec now, so it will be a little harder then used to be

why do u guys want CC back when u can just face roll to get top dps? ilulz. to tell u the truth i don't miss CC. i do feel the game has gotten extremely easy but i haven't tried any hard modes yet, but bringing back CC will NOT make the game fun in any way or give it any aspect of being good. at most it will cause more wipes, more ^&*!ed 10 year olds and ppl will just stop playing cause "OMG THIS GAME IS SRZ BZNZ"
it will show who are the huntards though^ but u could always just look at the dps charts and the death charts lol
Personally I always enjoyed CC, and in BC I topped charts while doing it. I think it ads a nice level of complexity to the game, and breaks up the monotony that can happen when you just do the same thing over and over and over.
Dont get me wrong, I dont miss places like MGT where every single pull required 3 types of cc, and a single broken trap could cause a wipe. . .
But anyway, I posted this thread before I got into Uludar--some of those pulls are made easier with a little bit of control, and I like that level--it isnt required, it wont kill you not to, but it does grease the wheels a bit.

I always find it amusing when people talk about Survival CC and yet only mention traps.
Wyvern Sting lasts just as long as a trap and doesnt require the mob to walk over it to get stuck, AND is on a seperate cooldown from traps, so you can use your Black Arrow on the boss or Freezing Trap for an extra CC.
Sure, but wyvern, like freezing arrow, has to make the pull. Which isnt always as useful as having the tank make the pull, and pulling the mob off him into a trap.
Both are viable, in different situations.
