Alright...
It's a game, do what's fun! These are your friends, 'hang-out' with them. The difference in leveling with three versus one, or two, or whatever can't be more than a day or two... Just relax and have fun.
It's not how long it
actually
takes to get to Lv80. It's how long it
seems
to take, if you catch my drift.

Hello,
I just wonder how good is it to level with 3 people in the group from 20-80? Will it be much slower or faster?
We are most doing this because everyone of us hates leveling alone and we thought it maybe more fun if we level in a group together. But the only thing is that I belive we are going to level slower. What do you think about that?
We don't got any heirloom shoulders or recruit friend stuff.
Well, depends on what classes you have, make sure that at least one can tank and one can heal and instance grouping will be easy as hell. Then, if all of you need the same item that drops, well... = not funny if its rare drop =S. Then as mentioned above, quest where you have to collect items will be a pain. But of my own experience, this will go really quick in Mulgore, Barrens and slow as hell in Tanaris and Hillsbrad. But it's great fun, at least I thought so while lvling 1-40 on my first toon with my brother =)

Its a good thing that you start at 20 and not 10 or 1 with the others. Past level 20 as long as you spec in a way that is burst dps then you should do great(I.E. have a warlock go Destro instead of affliction). If i were you and all were completely willing i would go with a druid, a paladin, and a shaman.
This means you have a cast-dps, melee-dps, tank, and healer as a druid potentially.
A melee-dps, tank, and a healer for the paladin potentially.
Then there is a shaman with caster dps, melee dps, and healing.
This means at any one time any of you could go heal spec, and two of you could go tank spec. Plus everyone will have different types of gear level 40 on and since you'll really only need dpsers to fill in if two people are tank/heals then you can instance a good half of the time your leveling(which on that note; this is where XP will REALLY take off. Your at a slight hindrancei n XP for regular quest mobs but with how easy it wil be to only have to find two dpsers for instances you could do a few instances in just a couple hours if you are good enough and always have the latest possible instance gear.)
All in all I think the instancing will outbalance the hindrance of mobs, plus quests don't decrease in xp when grouped so everything but item quests will go by FAST.
Even if it isnt that trio I would definetely try to have someone that can be a potential tank and another be a potential healer unless your in a medium to high pop server.
Not to mention all can Rez. so only 1 has to live. and a Shaman can pop up as well.
