I've recently decided to roll a priest and go shadow for raiding. However, my knowledge of the class is limited at best, so I figured I'd ask a couple of specific questions.
1.) I've been seeing some discussions while skimming the forums on whether to go shadow all the way or holy up to 40 and then make the switch for Vampiric Touch.
2.) I was planning on grabbing a couple of heirloom items and was curious as to whether or not anyone had any suggestions with regards top priority heirlooms for a shadow priest.
Answers to these questions and any other advice would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks!

dont see the need to go Holy till 40...
you need to spend points in shadow tree anyway for spirit tap for lvling so its best to lvl all the way with shadow since you still can offheal in instances rly well (even in northrend! - not at lvl 80 tough^^)
Darkness in first tier, Imp SW: P and Mind Flay are great for the leveling process
btw vampiric touch is only at lvl 50... lvl 40 its Shadowform ;)
hope i've helped

Haha I realized that when I was screwing around with the tree builder today lol. How embarrassing.
The discipline idea is pretty interesting Cemi. I guess I'll have to play around with that now too.
Chiv, what kind of a noob would I be if I actually looked at those stickies? Nobody looks at those things anyway :P
