So which class are the characters from the classic movies?
This is what I've got so far:
Yoda - Jedi Sage
Windu - Jedi Guardian
Solo - Scoundrel
Anakin - Jedi Guardian
Obi-Wan - Jedi Guardian
Palpatine - Sith Assassin
Vader - Sith Juggernaut

not quite bro'.
Windu wasn't about protecting, heck, his fighting style Vapaad, was all about tapping the edges of the dark side of the force to increase his damage. Plus if you've seen him in action on sequences like
this one
will show you that his philosophy is that the best defense is a strong offense.
Each class is modeled after a certain character in star wars, or a certain group of characters.
Jedi Knight: The Sentinels are more like Mace Windu, and Anakin. The Guardians are more like Prequel-Obi wan.
Jedi Consular: Sage is pretty much Yoda. Shadow........ hard to tell, I don't really know any jedis that fight with stealth and use a double-bladed lightsaber.
Smuggler: Han solo all the way. Not only they talk like solo, dress like solo, their ship also resembles the millenial falcon A LOT, and they even get a wookie companion o_O. Plus, if played male, you can flirt with just about every female you can meet. So yes, Han Solo all the way, up to eleven.
Trooper: They channel a lot of the Clone Troopers and Stormtroopers.
On the Imperial side its a lot easier to classify them.
Sith Warrior: The Marauders are like
Asajj Ventress
from the Clone Wars tv show. Juggernaughts are pretty much Darth Vader.
Sith Inquisitor: The Sorcerer is pretty much Palpatine. (Come on, palpatine never really was a physical fighter, his solution for everything was to blast it with lighting) Whereas the Assassin is Darth Maul.
Bounty Hunter: Come on :P they got written Boba/Jango Fett ALL OVER THEIR FACE. Their voice, their armor, their skills, all about them screams BOBA FETT within a 5 mile radius.
Imperial Agent: Now these are a true enigma (Which fits the class entirely if we think about it) I don't really think there's someone in the setting that resembles them. They are pretty much James Bond IN SPACE!

I'd switch those around. Asajj was definitely the more sneaky assassin type of Dark Jedi, whereas Darth Maul was the "loyal" servant who follows his Master's orders and kills anything in his path, without the whole dramatic speech most bad guys feel the need to do before engaging.
I know you're going by Lightsaber, in which case your assessment is sound, but that's pretty much the only reason to classify them under those roles.

To be honest, I can't say I'm surprised...=(

pfft, bunch of alarmists. No sooner a game loses subs, and the doomsayers imidietly cry OMG GAME IS DEAD.
SWTOR is fine, and will continue to be fine.

Has the loss of 400.000 subscriptions affected my gameplay in any way, shape or form? No.
Until I personally get affected by the loss of subscriptions due to the company lowering or seizing development, or because there are no people left to play with, than I don't see why all these people screaming about X number of subscriptions lost is of any importance to anyone still enjoying the game.

It seems that after bleeding an additional million subs
SW:ToR will be going Free to Play
Dang........... That really sucks.
SWTOR looked like such a promising game.

Sadly it only looked like it. It wasn't after you hit the max level. The dialog thing in quests were a lot of fun, I loved it.

True, but it also made picking up quests sometimes take way too long.
Also, the dialouge wheel never actually told you what they would say. For example "Have a nice day" Would turn into "Yeah, you better run before I stab you"
There was also the fact you would sometimes get stuck in that mode, even after the conversation was over.

I had the same experience playing SWTOR and while I found the dialogue somewhat novel and engaging at first that quickly wore off.
The thing that really surprised me about leveling in SWTOR is that I quicky found myself dreading it, and this from a guy that loves leveling toons in wow. I even loved leveling toons in wow back when we had to run all the way to level 40. Stranger still was I couldn't put my finger on any one aspect of it that turned me off, which was very disapointing as I really wanted to like it.

I think it was a great single person RPG, with 8 possible main characters. Since that's how I approached it, I wasn't looking for end game, and really was done with toons once I finished the main story. I will probably go back and finish the game (the leveling process) later on, next time I get bored with WoW and after this next playthrough of Skyrim. It was fun, I think it was worth the money I spent, but I don't know how the end game was because I never planned on playing that part of the game.

You could always hit space multiple times, haha. But true.
And YES! That was something which bothers me, most of the time that stuff on the wheel was by far funnier as what he actually said.
