Encounter Tips:
Run away from the boss when targeted by
Fel Bombardment
.
Roll
is always great to lean on.
Likewise, if you are currently not tanking, make sure to taunt the boss when your fellow tank is being
targeted by
Fel Bombardment
.
Use
Transcendence
to quickly return to the boss after
Eradication
has ended. Be sure to replace your
Transcendence clone when you get to the boss, for the second cast.
Encounter Tips:
Keep the felhounds 40 ft away from each other at all times in order to avoid
Sargeras' Blessing
due to
Destroyer's Boon
.
Keep the felhound you are in charge of faced away from the raid at all times.
If players are having trouble moving from mechanics quickly, try and use
Tiger's Lust
to help them out.
Mythic Tips:
If
Flametouched
, make sure you move the fire boss around so players can freely drop fire. If
Shadowtouched
,
mirror the movements of the flametouched tank with the shadow boss.
Taunt swap when your debuff switches.
Encounter Tips:
Keep bosses faced away from the raid to avoid unnecessary damage from
Exploit Weakness
Taunt off the other tank at 2 stacks of
Exploit Weakness
.
If not actively tanking, detonate
Entropic Mine
s when other sources of raid damage are low, keeping in mind
to let the raid debuff drop off before getting more mines. How many mines you hit is going to be dependent on your healers.
Summon Black Ox Statue
to help get threat on Admiral Svirax’s adds when they spawn near him.
Mythic Tips:
Position bosses near their pods to allow for cleave on any bats that spawn.
Keep a
Transcendence
near the boss if possible to ease getting back in position to taunt swap, if going around grabbing mines.
Encounter Tips:
Taunt off the other tank when they are at 2 stacks of
Reality Tear
.
Tank the boss at the side of a room to help deal with
Collapsing World
.
Tank all adds.
Leg Sweep
imps when they spawn. You can also use
Summon Black Ox Statue
if add pickup is causing problems.
If you are the platform tank, try to leave just after a tank swap.
Mythic Tips:
If players who are moving platform buffs are struggling, use
Tiger's Lust
to help speed them up.
Encounter Tips:
Leg Sweep
adds when optimal to help give time for DPS to burn them down.
Make sure you are tanking Fel-Powered Purifiers and Fel-Infused Destructors
Interrupt the Fel-Infused Destructor’s
Artillery Strike
Face Fel-Powered Purifiers away from other players to minimize damage from
Fel Swipe
.
Encounter Tips:
Taunt swap off at 4 stacks of
Shock Lance
, or fewer if your debuff runs out. Mitigate damage as necessary.
Balance between moving quickly on the bridge via
Roll
for transitions, while still avoiding traps. Smart
use of
Transcendence
can help you skip this.
Interrupt
Conflagration
if you are the first one to get there.
Taunt swap off at 2 stacks of
Sever
.
Taunt swap every 3 stacks of
Empowered Shock Lance
.
Encounter Tips:
Taunt swap after every
Forging Strike
When not tanking the boss, explode the
Diabolic Bomb
(preferably the ones furthest away from the raid as possible).
Use
Roll
liberally to move around the encounter area.
Once out of phase 2, any remaining adds should be tanked near the boss for easy cleave.
Encounter Tips:
Stand near your fellow tank (8 yards) to ensure you aren’t hit by
Alone in the Darkness
, but not stacking,
while facing Varimathras away from the raid.
Avoid unnecessary applications of
Misery
Taunt off after every
Shadow Strike
cast. Make sure you aren’t hit by the one targeted at your tanking buddy.
Encounter Tips:
Tank the two active Shivarra at least 18 yards away from one another.
If tanking Noura, keep her facing away from the raid to minimize
Fiery Strike
damage. You will need to taunt
swap at around 3 stacks of this debuff.
If tanking Noura, position yourself in such a way that you will not be hit by
Whirling Saber
as it returns to her.
Taunt swap off for
Flashfreeze
at 3 stacks of its debuff.
Transcendence
can allow you to teleport behind Norgannon adds during his torment phase.
Mythic Tips:
interrupt
Touch of the Cosmos
if tanking Thu’raya.
Encounter Tips:
Always be stacked on your fellow tank to ensure clean damage from
Taeshalach's Reach
. Taunt swap around 7 stacks or so.
Save cooldowns for and turn Aggramar away from the raid for
Foe Breaker
during
.
Make sure the tank with the least amount of physical damage debuffs tanks Foe Breaker. If you do not take the first Foe Breaker,
taunt afterwards, turn the boss towards the raid, then turn him away again for the second Foe Breaker.
If you can be in range of the Ember adds when they spawn during the intermission,
Paralysis
can be used to hard CC
them in order to stagger them hitting the boss.
Tank one of the Flame of Taeshalach adds at least 15 yards away from the other during the intermission. Keep them away
from Ember adds, to keep them crowd controllable and to keep their movement speed low. Tank them next to the shield.
Mythic Tips:
Mind the
Searing Binding
from
Empowered Foe Breaker
Encounter Tips:
In Phase 1, tank Argus in the center of the room
Taunt off after 3
Sweeping Scythe
casts. Save a large cooldown for the third cast. Face Argus away from the raid to minimize
raid damage
Once Phase 2 begins, move Argus to one side of the room, still keeping him faced away from the raid.
Stand on top of players affected by
Soulbomb
when you are the
Avatar of Aggramar
to protect them from damage.
Roll
to get to them and back to the boss.
Only interrupt
Cosmic Beacon
during Phase 3 if not actively tanking.
Pick up threat on adds with
Sword of the Cosmos
or
Blades of the Eternal
immediately when they activate. If tanking the
Sword of the Cosmos
add, keep it away from other adds to minimize the damage buff, in the middle of the room.
Tank the boss in the same way as Phase 2, at an edge of the room.
If/when you die to
Sweeping Scythe
during this phase, collect energy motes to help fuel
Titanforging
.
