haven't figured out how to do this yet, but here is what i know so far:

• during the venthyr covenant assault in the maw, Fangcrack can be found at /way #1543 29.2, 17.5. if you click on him, he will become your bodyguard for 2 minutes.

• currently, there is no lockout, so you are not really limited to 2 minutes. if you are quick enough, as the 2 minutes expire and he starts to run away from you, you can click on him or use an "interact with target" keybind and get him for another 2 minutes (if you miss out, you can run back to the point where he stands and click on him again).

• there is a Portal to Torghast near fangcrack at 31.4, 12.4. quite a few mobs spawn there to contend with. you cannot actually walk through the portal to get to torghast.

nothing happens when you drag fangcrack over to the portal now, but my guess is that that is eventually the way you'll get this achievement, possibly with some annoying imposed timegating (cooldown on picking up fangcrack as your bodyguard, limit to the amount of items you can use per day, limit to the amount of items that spawn per day, whatever).

ETA: i don't think this is intended, but i just received this achievement today during the night fae covenant assault. while on the A Shady Place quest, you can use Unbalanced Riftstone to phase into the rift, which is a separate version of the maw where all the mobs disappear and are replaced by shades. while in the rift, around the place where Stygian Incinerator normally spawns there are a lot of Ashen Phylactery (and a new rare, Blinding Shadow). destroying the phylacteries gives you a stacking five-minute buff that reduces the magic damage you take. i was stacking up the buff to kill the rare, and received this achievement after destroying one. fangcrack is nowhere to be found, which is why i think this is perhaps not the intended way to get the achievement, but...maybe it is? WHO CAN SAY. apparently this is fixed now! i'm inclined to believe a commenter above who theorizes that this achievement is part of the 'fangcrack's fanclub' venthyr assault quest, which was never available on PTR.

Only Venthyr players can click on Fangcrack to have him as their bodyguard. But he doesn't seem to do anything next to the portal to Torghast. This could be bugged.

I took him all the way to the Torghast portal near Venari and he didn't react to that portal either.

Quest just popped in the US, Fangcrack's Fan Club. You just wait by him and he'll pull stuff out of the Torghast portal. Most of the time it's enemies, but sometimes it will be Phylacteries or even Anima orbs. Destroying the jars and picking up the orb buffs are what count towards interactions. Takes a while, maybe 10 min or so to get full credit.

This achievement is now available for US servers (Fri July 30th until Tues August 3rd, reset day). Pick up the quest "Fangcrack's Fan Club" and simply wait by the portal where he's pulling enemies out of. Every few pulls (seems to be completely random) you'll see him grab an Anima Power (like the ones in Torghast) and then throw it to the ground, OR he will throw Phylacteries on the ground that you can destroy. When you pick up the power or destroy the phylacteries (get the killing blow on them) you gain +1 progress for achievement.

This achievement can be done in one sitting, it took me about 40 mins total with others claiming they were able to do it in 10 mins. As a final note, after about 3-4 anima powers, any new anima power I pick up is a glitched "Placeholder" power that doesn't award progress towards the achieve, so I could only progress the achieve by getting the killing blow on phylacteries. Good luck everyone!

fang crack was at the portal and I was able to pick up the anima orbs while on my NF and receive credit

This can only be done when the quest Fangcrack's Fan Club is up during the Venthyr Assault

Fangcrack will be pulling enemies out of the portal, but every now and then will pull out an Anima Cell , Jars, or a broker.

just break the jars, use the anima cell (only let me do it 3 times) or buy from the broker (sells Collapsing riftstones for 100 stygia with no limit)

i was able to finish the full achievement in about 15 minutes

7/30/21- Fangcrack's Fan Club is up and you can earn partial credit towards this. Every 5 minutes or so, Fangcrack pulls an anima orb out of the portal. You can wait and get all 3 powers. I waited for a 4th, but was unable to interact with the orb. It seems we will have to wait for this quest to spawn 4 times. I will try again tomorrow after reset and see if we can get 3 orbs again.

Fangcrack also spawns clay jars every once in a while, but those appear to not count toward the achievement if you break them.

not a lot of info here just yet, so i thought i would put a comment on what i've seen today

-this only seems to be obtainable when the venthyr assault is up AND the quest "Fangcrack's Fan Club" is available
-during this quest he reaches through the torghast portal at around 31, 12 and yanks out enemies. occasionally, he will pull out an anima cell that offers 3 different powers, or a phylactery like the ones in torghast. there is also a broker, but only the aforementioned anima power/jars gave credit towards the achievement.
-after he pulled out an anima cell 3 times and i gained all 3 powers, i could no longer click on further cells that he pulled out. i did get credit for all 3 times
-not 100% certain sure, but i couldn't get credit for the achievement if i used a damaging ability on the phylactery, i had to physically click on the jar. again, i'm not sure about this so i could be completely wrong on that one.

You get this achievement when "Fangcrack's Fan Club" quest is up. Stand near Fancrack and wait for either urns or anima powers to emerge. Break the urns ortake the anima 10 different times and you're done.

Took me about 10 minutes.

In order to complete this achievimente you need to interact with 10 items that will be pull by fangcrack,

You can interact with only three animals cells, after that any other anima cell will not be interactive,
To complete the rest of the achievement you need to break the urns that fangcrack pulls from the portal, but you need to get the killing blow in order to count to the achievement.

Once I hit 3/10 by clicking Anima Powers I could no longer progress; the Anima Powers were unclickable and faded away.

Also, after fighting for pots to click for about 40 min I used the group finder to server hop to a spot where I was alone. Anecdotal, I know, but the pots showed up like once every 3 tosses on the dead server. Finished the achievement in less than a minute after server hopping.

So this one isn't too bad but seems a bit buggy. Go to the giant guy pulling mobs out of Torg. He'll randomly get jars and anima powers. Try to tag everything you can here, if there are a lot of people on the opposing faction sometimes you won't get credit. Overall easier with more people around killing stuff faster. Finished it up pretty fast with a friend, but took them longer since they weren't getting credit. You can click off the powers if you need to grab a new one as well.

When Fangcrack pulls stuff out of the portal you can see what it is in his hand including if there's going to be anima powers or jars. Each power you take gives you one credit towards this achievement but it seems like as of now after collecting all 3 of the powers you can't get anymore. I'm not sure for how long, clicking off the powers didn't let me select from more anima hoards. Every time he pulls jars from the portal they will be thrown down in two groups. Each one you kill grants one credit for the achievement and gives you a stack of Phantasma Charged. I was able to complete this achievement in roughly 20min killing stuff at the portal.

I found that relogging with 0 anima powers makes the anima cells interactable again for the achievement. Speeds it up a little! :) Enjoy

~~Note: I did not test with 1/2/3 powers on relogging, I clicked them all off and relogged.~~

Edit: Tested on an alt, logging out automatically removes any powers (buffs) you have obtained.

Edit 2: This is not shared in a party! Only the player dealing the killing blow of the phylactery adds to their achievement. Anima cells are of course shared amongst those eligible regardless of party.

As of today, with the quest up on live servers on EU i can confirm this is working weirdly to say the least. I picked up the quest, and got 8/10 credit towards this achievement by breaking jars and clicking "anima powers". After hitting the 8th item however, anima powers became unclickable for me. I still managed to get 10/10 and complete the achievement in one sitting by destroying urns, so im not entirely sure wether it's just a bug or if they actually wanted to timegate this like everything else in the game but forgot about the urns. Hard to know what the intention was at this point, however i can confirm it can be done in one sitting without any need to abandon and retake the quest or anything of the sort.

Done it today, it can be done when Fang quest up, to complete it ignore the mobs let others kill it, just focus on destroying jars & clicking power anima orbs that Fang will throw.

Things that count :

Breaking vases.
Using anima powers.

The mobs will get killed even if you ignore them and he will continue to pull stuff from the portal.

At one point there is a Torghast merchant that sells the usable Collapsing Riftstone for 100 stygia, you can buy 10.

Killings mobs here counts for the quest in which you have to kill 30, you can also shrink these enemies if the quest to do so is up.

I wasn't able to click on any orbs after 3. I removed the debuffs and I still couldn't click on any orbs, they would just vanish. After about 15 minutes I could click on orbs again. I clicked on my 4th orb and immediately removed the debuff thinking that me having all 3 debuffs is what caused the orbs to not be clickable. When I clicked on my 5th orb, only 2 of the 3 buff options appeared (even though I didn't have any buffs applied to my character as I clicked off of them). This leads me to believe that the orbs have an internal cooldown. Roughly 3 orbs per 15 minutes no matter if you click off the buffs or not. Also note, the Pots are killing blow. You won't get credit for the pots if you don't have the killing blow on them.

I just finished this achievement now and the time is 5:30 am pst., however, I play on a mst server so 7:30am server time. I tried to do this early enough hoping that i would be the only player doing the quest and fortunately it worked out. As a result, it only took approx. 10 min to get the achievement. I followed Kracker's post to complete the achiev so this is just an update. Bliz must have made some adjustments ( or I missed that info in the prev replies) because Fang threw out 3 phylacteries at a time and i received credit for each one. I kept my pet on passive until the platform became crowded and then killed a few mobs to keep the area clear. When the mobs had an exclamation point over their heads i killed them which gave me credit towards another assault quest. He keeps all the mobs stunned so, as mentioned above, you dont have to interact with any of them. I right clicked on each phylactery, and on the orb. I finished the quest so quickly that i only had 1 orb come out before i was finished.

I finished this achievement in roughly 10 minutes. I got 1 orb and the rest were breaking the jars (phylacteries). I found that you can get credit for 2 jars at once by quickly clicking them one after another.

You can do in only when Venthyr Assault is up.

This is how i done it:

Pick Up Quest Fangcrack's Fan Club From Rendle 31 15 He is on wall.

Then move to 30 13 there will be Fangcrack next to Portal to Torghast. Fangcrack will pulls mobs ( kill them to get next pull ), Ashen Phylactery and Anima Hoard.

To get this Achi done You need to get 10 buff by destroing Ashen Phylactery or picking skill from Anima Hoard.

Quest i give back after i done Achi.

Fangcrack can pull as well Broker Ve'nott. He Can Sell You Collapsing Riftstone fror 100 Stygnia.

FYI the anima powers you take make a lot of noise (disproportionate to the rest of the game, sounds like wooshing air). You can click the buffs off, but it took me like 5 minutes to figure out where the noise was coming from.

I something did which might save people some time on this and other achievements. During the Venthyr assault, there is a chance for Fangcrack's Fan Club to be up. Fangcrack reaches into a portal and throws out mobs. One of the mobs is an Oribos Broker and he lands on the left of the platform by one of the cages. The Broker sells the rift keys that allow you to be ANYWHERE in The Maw and create a rift portal. The Broker is only up for about 10-15 seconds. I got 10 rift keys and I used one inside the cave where you have to place the rings onto the hand to get the mount. I used them to complete the achievement that has you finding rares inside the rift. I'd navigate to their location and then use the key to open a port. If you're in a party, everyone else has to go through 1st.

Easist way to complete these, especially on a higher populated server where they constantly die.

1) learn 3 powers
2) click all debuffs off
3) relog
4) repeat.

since we constantly killed (active realm) - i think i got achievement within 2-3mins, logging out for 20 secs is the most time consuming part. Easy Achievement. "Fangcrack's Fan Club" Assault quest must be up to clear this achievement!.

While the Fangcrack quest does need to be up, you do not need to be on it. I just rode the taxi out, stealthed up to Fangcrack, and Moonfired the first three phylacteries I saw to go from 7/10 to complete.

I completed this quest on my Demon Hunter, then went to complete it on my warrior alt, and it was already listed as complete even though the achievement states 1/10 items used. Is this an account bound achievement?
