This has got legacy achievement written all over it, unless they remove the Mythic + dungeon as a requirement.

I've equipped all of them except the PvP ones so I guess those are also needed. No achievement for me, then.

I was initially confused by the wording of this achievement, so now that I have earned it I'd like to perhaps be overly explicit about what you have to do:

TLDR: Learn every essence, at least rank 1.
So, no grayed-out essences in the list on the right side of the Heart of Azeroth interface panel. You don't have to activate every essence in the matrix on the left side of the interface panel; just learning it is enough.

When it says "from the Rise of Azshara update" (which is patch 8.2) you might think it's referring to some specific essences and not others. Perhaps you will be surprised (as I was) to be reminded that the entire essence system was added in that patch. There were no essences before 8.2. Now, some more essences were added in 8.3. I don't know if you need those to get this achievement, because the final essence I learned was Blood of the Enemy, which is one of the original 8.2 essences.

Just got all the essences and achievement didn't pop. I have all of the essences in 1 spec only but since achievement states "for any of your role" I suspect this might be bugged.

I find the wording of this achievement confusing. To clarify, you need all Rise of Azshara essences at rank 1 at least for ALL SPECS. You don't need to equip them in your Heart of Azeroth necklace just unlocking them is enough.

Ok, so I just the rank 2 and rank 3 achievements, so I guess this works for rank 1 too. Once you have all of them for just one of your specializations, you have to learn another rank of any essence of any spec.

As a Druid in Feral spec, I was missing only Blood of the Enemy rank 2 and rank 3. Once I learned rank 2, nothing happened. Once I learned rank 3, I got the achievement for obtaining all rank 2 essences. I swapped spec to Guardian, and learned an Azshara raid rank 1 tank essence that I was missing. I got the achievement for obtaining all rank 3 essences for my Feral spec.

So basically, as some people suggested, just learn any other essence to proc the previous progress. Hope this clears it up.
