All kinds of CC works on the spores. When they started getting out of hand for us we used things like Ursol'd and Gorefiends to group them, and then Mass Entangles to root them, but if your group doesn't have these at your disposal then you just need to place puddles efficiently and kite properly. Pummle the boss as much as you can and don't worry about damaging the Sha adds, Hezrel will kill them for you.

What this means is that you all stack up near the edge of the room, facing the Vile Expulsion towards the wall as a result, and spawning all the puddles stacked, resulting in the spores they spawn being mostly stacked as well. Each time he breaths simply move as a group around the room hugging the wall and facing each subsequent breath back the way you came (on top of the spores slowly chasing you). Also make sure you stay stacked in the circles Hezrel gives you to keep stacks low so your healer can manage. The circle of light also clears patches from Vile Expulsion that spawn the spores, but we never found it necessary to clear the puddles (which despawn on their own after enough time).

Puddles of Vile Expulsion will occasionally coalesce into Rotting Spore adds which fixate a random player. You will have to kill the boss without having any Rotting Spore die, which is easily done by kiting them in a circle around the room.

Make use of cc in order to slow them, and remember to check your talents, trinkets and azerite traits so you don't accidentally kill the spores.

This is easier than you expect if you know these things:

1. Do the boss as usual, just kite him around the room, along the outer wall, in a circular motion. The spores will die after a while of them coming towards you, so you do not have to worry that much about them. However, after a certain amount of time the spores will start coming from almost all directions of the room because you have kited him and created spore pools over a larger amount of time. So DPS is actually important here to do this. Put one DPS on Blood Visage duty when they are up. The rest just nuke the boss as per usual.

2. You do not have to disable all AoE traits to be honest. The spores should not be able to get that close. It is important to keep a good distance to the spores (always minimum 15-20 yards). But for example if you have the trinket that spawns a cannon that shoots in a cone, then you have to take this off. This happened in our group and it killed a spore.

3. Use the "Details" addon and check "enemy damage taken". If you see any Rotting Spore appearing on the list, then you have to wipe as fast as possible and reset it. You can't track this achievement like you can other achievements, it does not appear as red when you kill a Rotting Spore, so you will not know if you failed it unless you track it in this addon.

Bonus: It helps to have a DK who can Chains of Ice the spores that are starting to flank, or he can grip one that is coming from behind if you get unlucky (he just has to make sure he doesn't auto attack the spore he grips!) IMPORTANT! If you are an Unholy DK who is doing this, you HAVE to dismiss your minion, and never spawn any minions using Army of the Dead or Apocalypse, because they will attack the spores if you use Chains of Ice on them.

Since this achievement can't be tracked the normal way, I made a WeakAura that shows info about what killed a spore, and if its killed, to help my group easier identify what we did wrong and when to wipe+retry.

I haven't tested it extensively yet, but it is at least working for all tested scenarios so far. If there are any bugs or unclear interactions/information shown, feel free to contact me and I'll fix them.

This is an identical achivement to "Spore Looser" from Naxxaramas. Like "Spore Looser", the spores have a threat table and will head for the healer. Thus. it is important that everyone is stacked up on the boss's big leg and the tank moves the boss to face the direction they just left for every vial expulsion, such that any new spores generated are all coming from the same direction (behind the boss) and the boss can be kited into a clear path around the circumference of the room.

We used ring of peace / mass entanglement / mage slows (ring of ice etc) if any spores got close. Boss died before we completed 65% of the room so its a minor DPS check since you will run out of space at some point (and CC's)

Our group accomplished this by kiting in a circle around the edge of the wall, stacking at the feet of the boss whenever possible. The minimizes the area of vile explusion to which the spores spawn from. A total of 6 blood visages are needed to kill off the boss, with every 2 being spawned each time the boss reaches 100% on the red bar (below its health bar). The titan will also help to dps down the bloody visage (which in fact is how we get the 6th visage killed).

Some pointers. WL pet like felguard will cleave on spores. Certain talents and common azerite traits may also trigger spore death accidentally. In the case of my mage, i had to run naked..

If for any reason you can't be bothered with weak auras or addons to track this, this is what I did: I kept skada open on damage taken, if a spore hits you, it will get indicated on that section as "rotting spore", around 7k damage, so very visible, if you didn't take damage taken by that a spore didn't reach you, and finally just before killing boss I switched to damage done and checked, there was no damage done to any spore at all, just used single target abilities as fury warrior venthyr, didn't have any automatic aoe effects.

Soloed this as a level 60 Marksman Hunter, ilvl233. Just keep running away from the spores, don't use any AoE skills.

You need to dps the boss to get the Red Globs to spawn.

Kite boss. Dps boss. Kill Red Globs.

Do big quick single target damage to the boss to increase rage to spawn 3 sets of 2 non-spore adds. Kill those 6 without touching or cleaving any spores and it should be easy achievement.

Here's how to do this, dumbed WAY down for people like me worried about screwing up.

Just kill the boss normally- as in, attack the boss until he spawns the red globs, then kill those to actually damage him.

The achievement will fail if you kill the little grey orbs that spawn where the boss spits up. Those same orbs will also try to run into you and explode, which also counts as them dying.

So limit your AoE as much as possible, and stay away from where the boss spits up his grey goo (since that goo spawns the grey orbs).

Blizzard might have nerfed this achievement. I just finished the run on Mythic and the boss kept spitting out the "infected" creatures -- three sets of two one right after the other -- allowing me to kill them before the spores made an appearance. Nice! I finally got my achievement.

Easy Solo Achievement at Level 70 Dragonflight & Beyond...

1) Mythic Difficulty.

2) Begin fight.

3) Red adds (Blood Visage) must be killed, single target only and kill them as soon as they spawn.

4) Stay away from gray colored orbs and do not run into them.

5) Once the red adds are dead, kill boss.

6) ?

7) Profit. Achievement Completed.
