To open the Chaotic Rift, one player must be affected by all 3 debuffs from each platform at the same time. Keep in mind that this can only be done in Phase 1, which ends when the boss reaches 90%, so make sure not to dps the boss at all.

Have one player bring the Everburning Flames (orange debuff) close to the green platform. After that, another player can pick up the Cloying Shadows (purple debuff) from the purple platform, and then go to the green platform to pick up the Everburning Flames (orange debuff) and the Caustic Slime (green debuff).

Combining these three debuffs will open a chaotic rift which will pull you constantly towards the back of the room.

The Chaotic Rift assigns random debuffs to players, and in order to prevent this damage from occurring, they will have to go to the platform matching the debuff's color, or else they will explode dealing 5 million damage to themselves: Binding: Xoroth - Binding: Rancora - Binding: Nathreza(##RESPBREAK##)396##DELIM##Nightswifty##DELIM##

Before the boss empowers the first portal one person needs to get all debuffs starting from void to fel then fire and the rift will spawn and then its just to kill the boss, you will also get random debuffs and if youre not in the matching portal color youll die

Nothing much more to add here except having a 3rd tank was really handy - it helped with the overlaps you get during the fight and provides a bit of safety (with a 30M you can afford it). Also don't do ANY DPS until the achievement team (classes with strong mobility eg monk/feral druid) have triggered the 'wind' that is the rift you deal with before the fire portal becomes active.

The Dedicated & Openraid achievement group completed this on the 3/12/17. Average ilvl of the 30M group (3T/6H/21DPS) was 940+

I think you can solo this if you're fast enough and hit hard enough. I did it as a hunter but didn't get credit because I opened the portal before the encounter started - I ran through the purple buff and hit Aspect of the Cheetah which was enough to get me quickly to the green buff, then I hit Disengage with the PostHaste talent which got me back down to the main platform quickly, then I chugged a lightfoot potion to get me to the red buff quickly. Still just barely made it. Took several tries. I was stoked when I got it up because the boss isn't too hard. I ran up and killed the mini-bosses when they spawned at 90%, 60%, and 30% and did it fast enough that the boss didn't have time to kill me with her special attack she uses when no one is meleeing her. But no credit when she died. So you'd have to get the 3 buffs during the encounter and I don't think I could get my pet to attack a target I can't see. Maybe a tricky monk with Chi Torpedo could do it? Two could do it OK if one brings the orange buff down then the other goes and gets the purple and green.

How to solo Portal Combat: (bfa: tank, heal or pet class) or (all class in shadowlands)

pull boss, join in orange portal and pick orange debuff Everburning Flames
leave orange portal and move the orange debuff to green portal entrance
join in purple portal
use any speed potion or speed skill
pick purple debuff Cloying Shadows
leave purple portal
pick orange debuff at the entrance to the green portal Everburning Flames
join in green portal and pick green debuff Caustic Slime
with the tree debuffs check your achievement tracker if the achievement went from red to white
leave green portal and kill the boss (if necessary enter in any portal to reset the Reality Tear stacks)

Easy Solo for Level 120 Battle for Azeroth or Level 60 Shadowlands any beyond...

1. Normal Difficulty or higher.

1b. Turn on Achievement Tracker, the achievement text will turn from Red to White upon satisfaction of achievement requirements.

2. Begin fight, enter Orange Portal, grab Orange buff and exit back to the main platform.

3. Run to the Purple Portal, let the Orange buff drop close to the purple portal and then get into the purple portal.

4. Grab the Purple buff and exit portal back to the main Platform.

5. Run into the Orange Buff you left behind as you run towards the Green Portal as fast as you can. Aspect of the Cheetah or a Speed Boost does wonders here.

6. As Hunter I was able to use Aspect of the Turtle and Exhiliration to keep myself alive.

7. Inside the Green portal, grab the green buff and run into your mix of Purple & Orange you already created.

8. This has created a Chaotic Rift. With the Achievement satisfied, the text has turned from Red to White.

9. Stay Alive and Destroy Boss.

10. ?

11. Profit. Achievement Completed.

This achievement appears to be bugged in 9.0.2
After meeting the criteria, having all three buffs on myself at the same time, the achievement tracker did not update and the achievement will not complete.
Attempted this multiple times to no avail.

Just did it solo as Blood Deathknight level 60 in heroic:

- Pull Portal Keeper Hasabel
- Run in orange portal
- Run in orange cloud, you get Everburning Flames debuff
- Run back to orange portal

- Run into purple portal (orange cloud drops on the way)
- Run into purple cloud, you get Caustic Slime debuff
- Run back into purple portal

- Run over the dropped orange cloud

- Run into green portal (use Death's Advance)
- Run into green cloud, you get Mind Fog debuff

- If orange dropped again, run into orange cloud

- Tracker should turn white now

- Kill boss
