This altoholism is killing me!

Guys,
When Wrath first came out I leveled my prot warrior to 80 and have now been tanking some early heroics and those short 10 mans. Suddenly insecurity raised its head and I do not dare to tank other heroics than VH.
I then decided to start a DK to do some huge melee damage, tanking is out of the question so I'll just dish out the best damage I can. I'm currently 72 and topping the damage lists without screwing things up.
I also have a 70 druid with which I've been playing as balance and resto. At 70 I was resto, healing raids up to SSC/TK/MH and now with my healing gear list complete (check signature) I've had this unbearable urge to start leveling my druid again to get to see how my druid fares with the healing gear I've listed. However I decided to go heal with my priest if I ever level her up (70 too atm), having my druid dish out some balance dps. I might have had enough of healing as a druid now, I'm not sure really.
Last but not least I also have a level 70 hunter I would like to level up, since hunters are the hot stuff (at least until the nerf) with their dps. I have absolutely no idea on what to do!
What's the effective cure for altoholism?

It's your game, your leisure time and your characters, so don't listen to your guildies or whoever else has said 'omg just choose a main!' Levelling new classes or re-speccing current ones to try out different roles is up to you and is lots of fun, I have 3 high level chars and I don't think having alts is bad. Some of them get dusted off and played and some of them get rested for a while, nothing wrong with that.
I can't make up your mind for you of course, but, if, as you say, you have 'an unbearable urge' to try Balance spec for your Druid, then go for it! They are very fun to play, and you will probably enjoy seeing the massive damage you will be doing with the spells you already know how to use.
What do you think will make you smile more? is the question I always ask people... topping the damage meter? Helping your mates by tanking? Trying something totally new? Reviving an 'old friend' with a new spec?

I hear you!
- 80 pala
- 80 priest
- 74 hunter
- 73 druid
- 72 lock
- 69 DK
The way I have gotten my pala and priest to 80 was to set my mind to it - "There Can Be Only One " and just did not play any other char until I got them from 70 to 80.
But as you can see I have 3 x >70 so I have failed with that mentality after those two first ones ;-)
But even tho' most of the quests get a bit repetitive when doing across multiple chars, you do get a sense of "hey if I do
this
then I will use
this
class' unique abilities and make it a different experience" if you just put some thought into it.

I definitely hear you, just look at my signature.
I leveled my Warrior to 80, then decided to make an Alt Warlock, which then turned into wanting ANOTHER Alt (paladin), then when DK's released I decided to make one of those. Now, I hace 4 80s, fully geared, and am thinking of MAYBE leveling yet ANOTHER alt.
Rogues seem fun, but the idea of always having to stealth or try and get behind the enemy kind of makes me turn my head. I wouldn't want another caster either, since I already have a warlock. I doubt I ever will level another, since all four of my 80s can do basically any role. I have a caster, a tank (Warrior), two melee DPS (Death Knight and Paladin) and my Paladin is Dual Specced for Holy, so I also have a healer. All of which have gear for their respective roles.
The thing with me, when I level an alt, i'll get them to a certain level, usually around 15-20, lose interest because of how much leveling i'll have to do, then one day become bored, level the alt a few levels, stop again because I don't want to level clear to 80, and then once again become bored one day, and log back on to that alt. This continues until I eventually reach 50-60, realize how close I am to 80, then level the character the rest of the way and gear them up. It took me about a year or more to level my paladin because I kept doing that. I got to 80 in 8 /played days due to always having full rested exp and heirloom shoulders for exp inc.
I never thought i'd level him, but I eventually did.

Should have rolled a Pallie or riased your Druid. That Dk will be the same old stuff just like the Warrior. Here is a little tid bit for ya since you said you made the DK to do Big Melee damage. Your Warrior will stomp that DK all over the place on Damage meters.
Anyway Just save yourself future problems and make a darn Paladin or Raise that Druid. All other classes are hadicapped and instead of re rolling again just change specs like the smart players do.
Throw that DK in the Delete bin and save yourself. They are done and will be kept that way from now on.

I was until Wrath. Rolled a DK, and that completely cured me. Hate mana, hate rage, wanted a class that could do more than just dps. That pretty much eliminates everything but DK's.
It's
very nice
to have finally settled on one class, be able to focus on it, and feel no desire to spend any more time on alts. Now if only RL didn't suck up so much of my time.
