Azeroth 20 Years Later (Completed RP)

20 years ago, the world went insane; the weather, the magic of the world, the people, everything changed in a month. The Destroyer, the Beast, the Corrupted One returned, and He ripped Azeroth asunder; thousands died due to His destructive emergence. The World screamed in pain and agony, and many of our greatest defenders, among the druids and the shamans, fell to madness, withdrawing from the world.
After a time to recover from the Cataclysm, the Horde and the Alliance attempted to fight back, but due to infighting and inter faction fighting, many of the grand battles fell through. Finally, in a fool hardy attempt, the Warsong Offensive, lead by Warchief Garrosh Hellscream, and the Alliance Assault, led by King Varian Wrynn, invaded Deepholme, trying to crush the head of the Serpent..... and failed miserably. Deathwing enjoyed parading the corpses of the two leaders, leaving them spiked to the entrances of their respective cities.
Following Wyrnn's death, the city of Stormwind fell to an attack by the Black flight, the Hammer and the reborn Defias, as Van Cleef had been found still alive, and willingly to throw in with the invaders. Prince Anduin, now King, escaped the city with the help of his father's friend, Valeera Sanguinar and his own friend, the young Guardian Med'an. The three fled the city by sea, heading for a safe port in Theramore, and hopefully from there travel to Hyjal to meet up with Archdruid Malfurion and the true Warchief Thrall.
The Horde didn't do much better; following the death of Garrosh, the Dark Horde, which had been bidding their time for a long while, joined with Nefarion and his Twilights to invade and take the capital city of Orgrimmar for themselves. The great city, cut off by Garrosh's own idiocy, fell to the forces of the Dark, and the continent of Kalimdor became darker. After they took Durotar, the Dark Horde headed south, and laid siege to Theramore, finally destroying it once the new king, his friends, and the Lady of the city gave it up.
By the end of the first year, Thunder Bluff was under constant siege and attack from the Dark Horde and the Dragonflights, finally falling as the Grimtotems, promised their hearts desires, turned on the other Horde members, and handed over Cairne Bloodhoof to be killed. It was a sad day for Horde of Kalimdor, as the bastion of freedom was destroyed.
The Alliance forces on Kalimdor, forced to fight an enemy on three fronts; those of the Warsong in Ashenvale who hadn't given up, the army of the Fire Lord in Hyjal, attempting to destroy the World tree, and the Black flights attacking wherever they could. The Draenei are isolated, forced to activate a shield device to keep their home safe, and only able to teleport to other locations to assist and fight back. The Night Elves, doing the best they could for the refugees of Stormwind and Theramore, are holding on, forced to rely on the new Night Elf magi of the Shen'dalar to get around and help fight the dark forces.
The first sign of the end was at Hyjal; the defenders were pushed back to the regrowing World Tree, and slowly but surely overwhelmed. In one last desperate move, Malfurion had Jaina Proudmoore mass teleport the defenders from the Tree, including his wife, and looked the Fire Lord in the face, and blew all of Hyjal to kingdom come..... and his final sacrifice failed, as the Firelord returned a few days later, and transformed the crater at Hyjal into an entrance to the Fire lands.
The Eastern Kingdoms weren't much better, the Undercity given up by the Dark Lady, when, offered a chance to keep her people alive and well, took it, turning on her orcish, troll and Tauren allies, killing those in the city and destroying the outpost that Garrosh had made in Trisfal. The Blood Elves destroyed the translocator orb in their city, and worked feverishly to shield their lands, forced to work with the Amani Trolls to fight back against the invading Forsaken and Dragonflights.
Ironforge is a bastion, a place where many are hiding out, the dwarves working to keep their allies alive and well. The Gnomish city of Gnomergon, reclaimed just before the Cataclysm, is also used as a staging point to fight back against the forces of Deathwing in Deepholme. Most of the northren settlements, Khaz Modan and the like, were absorbed into the Twilight Highlands, and are now the property of Twilight Hammer cult, which has also overthrown Silithus and are rebuilding the Temple of Ahn'Quarj.
But there is hope for the Alliance forces within the Eastern Kingdoms: Gilneas, Stromguarde and Durnholde, all rebuilt and working together, fight against the Forsaken and other enemies.
As for the North, tragedy has happened often; the floating city of Dalaran was destroyed by a combined assault of the Black and Twilight flights, the protector of the city, Rhonin the Red-haired, dying after teleporting the entire population out of the city as it fell. Wyrmrest Temple, once a bastion of safety, was crushed by Deathwing and his forces, forcing the Queen of Life, her consort and others to flee to the Nexus, now under control of Tyrigosa and Kalegocs, where they try to fight back against the Black Flight forces, and the remains of the Scourge, which are controlled by the Dreadlords still on Azeroth.
Many years have passed, those who are still leaders of their respective groups have been fighting back, trying to reclaim their world from the darkness and the shadow, this is an Azeroth where many evil and violent things have happened. But the world is not without it's protectors, as a new breed of heroes have been born and fighting back.

Prologue
heh.))

Character:
Garos Windwalker
Location:
Un'Goro Crater
Garos is a half-orc, born a few years before the Cataclysm and grew up in the madness of the new world. He is only 6 feet tall, and not as muscular as a normal orc, but has shoulder length red hair, with green eyes and dark brown skin. Garos is a shaman, and a devout follower of the old ways, which he learned from his clan's shaman growing up. He prefers not to fight if it's possible, but will not back down if he's in the right.
"Blasted.... dinos." Garos panted, running full out across the crater floor, hearing the sounds of pursuit. He spun and let loose a blast of fire, striking the raptor chasing him in the face and sending the creature sprawling. He whirled and continued his run, trying to get out of the pack's territory before it was too late.
The half-orc thought back to a few months ago when he had been sent out on his mastery trial by his mentor and cursed the man for a moment then felt bad about it as the old Tauren had lost most of his family during the Grimtotem's overthrow of Thunder Bluff.
I really hope this isn't my place to die, feeding a pack of raptors.
He growled, reaching out to the Spirits of the Wild and asking for help, and swearing as they stayed quiet. "On my own it looks like." Garos muttered, and asked the Spirit of Earth for help, trying to trip up the raptors as he put on a burst of speed.

Character: Areon Bavon
Location: Un'Goro Crater
Areon is a human male warrior, though rather young. He is barely of age of eighteen, though having lived in the chaos of the cataclysm for all his life. His parents and himself were seperated a few years back, so now forced to wonder Kalimdor trying to simply survive. He has hazel colored eyes and dark brown hair, always carrying a shield and sword, but forced to wear very light armor since he often had to run instead of fight.
...
Areon sat in a tree, watching an orc fight off some raptors. He took out his gun and took careful aim at one of the beast's head.
"Hold on just a second...," he muttered.

((bah, guess I might as well join, I'll try to keep up as much as I can))
Character: Præy
Location: Un'Goro Crater
Praey is a troll shadow priestess of darkspear, amani and gurubashi heritage. Her skin is azure blue and covered in runic tattoos of all colours of the rainbow. Fuschia dreadlocks fall to her lower back, though now have pale pink-grey streaks of age. She wore an old and tattered black and purple robe which hugged her curves, and a large hooded black cloak. Her eyes are emerald colored, and one of her small pointed tusks is missing.
Praey was once a talkative, flirty troll. She was once a drug lord in the Undercity, and took pride in her potions and knowledge of alchemy and herbs. When the Cataclysm and the death of her brother happened, she fell into a depression. She still struggles with it but has since realized that she can still have fun and make friends in a world that is still so lost.
~
Praey walked along in Un'goro on her mount, a brood of the raven god Anzu, named Apocalypse. The great beast was old, but was still a great mount filled with will and fight, and the two had seen the world together. Then the grunts of someone in trouble and the screeching of raptors filled the air, both the raptor-bird's and the trolls sensitive hearing picking it up.
"Here dat boy?" She said, listening. "Looks like some'un be in trouble, betta go help dem." Praey sighed and scratched Apocalypse's feathered head as the two picked up the pace and headed in the direction of the noise.

Garos Windwalker
Location:
Un'goro Crater
"Wait... what.. no!" Garos cried, swinging a hand upwards and knocking the weapon aside as he heard the cries of the Wild, the gun going off, but the bullet missing. The other raptors hissed and growled, and Garos spun, using their fear and letting loose with a massive roar of rage, sending them scampering back into their territory.
The half-orc turned and looked upwards, unable to see the shooter. "I don't know who you are, but thank you. I just wish you hadn't tried to kill them. They were merely defending their territory." He said, keeping his hands away from the maces on his back.

Character: Areon Bavon
Location: Un'Goro Crater
Areon was hesitant on coming out, knowing that the shaman was an orc. He didn't have anything against the Horde since he had never had many encounters against them personally, but according to many stories, they were not to be taken lightly.
"What are you doing here?" he called out, keeping himself concealed, hidden in the tree.

"I'm traveling to Fire Plume Volcano, that is where my last test of mastery will be held." Garos said, keeping watch for any other threats as he tried to figure out where the voice had come from.
Really wish the Wilds would help me out here.
He thought to himself.

Areon knew he would regret this, but had no choice. He had been fleeing and hiding out for days, starving and needing someone's help. He jumped down from the tree, hitting the ground clusmily but up. He kept his gun out, loaded and ready.
"What test? And where?" he asked, keeping his guard up.

"Fire Plume." Garos said, surprised that the person in the tree had been a human instead of an elf. He pointed off towards the Volcano, just barely visible. "As for the test, it's my final Mastery test, to see if I'm truly worthy of being a Shaman." He told the human, looking him over and raised an eyebrow, shocked that one so young had been here in the Crater.
"My name is Garos Windwalker, and yours is?" He asked, holding out his hand in friendship.

Areon hesitated for a moment, but reached his hand out as well, shaking the orc's hand.
"Mine is Areon, I've been stuck here for several days now. The black dragonflight chased me down here, so I've been unable to get back to Tanaris and to Gadgetzan," he said.

"Heh, yes, the Flights are getting worse. I think they've finally given up on letting us survive." Garos said, a little darkly, then shook his head. "So, your trying to get to Gadgetzan?" He asked, surprised in spite of himself.

Praey
Un'Goro Crater
Praey heard the noises of two men, and the screeching of raptors had stopped. Her and Apocalypse rounded the corner, and peering through the foliage the priestess saw a human and what appeared to be a half orc. She approached them cautiously, slowing Apocalypse to a slow walk.
"'Ello," she said curiously in orcish.

"Aye, I just need to get to a town. I don't know the land well, so I've been trying to get to some sort of civilization for food. The beasts here are just too strong for me to be able to take down," he said, his stomaching growling.
Suddenly he turned to see a troll, his shield raised. He knew he shouldn't have done that, but his instincts of survival had overtaken him.
"You can translate, right?" he asked.

"Well, this is interesting." Garos muttered, looking at the two new arrivals with a slight smirk on his face. "Yes I can translate." He said, watching both the troll and the newly arrived female. He turned to the troll first and tried common. "Hello Mistress Troll, my name is Garos Windwalker." He said, speaking slowly and clearly, and bowed to her.
He turned to the other female and looked at her, seeing... something similar to himself in her. "Hello milady." Garos said, bowing to her as well, using his mother's usual greeting of a new person.

Areon glanced back and forth, knowing it wasn't a good idea to be in a group out in the open.
"Maybe we should move this to somewhere safer, the black dragonflight is always watching," he said, his shield still up.
