The Cursed Tome is located in a hut in the village of Shaz'gul in Shadowmoon Valley (Warlords of Draenor). On the map if you zoom in you see 3 huts, it's in the northernmost.

Cursed Tome quest for the Harbinger achievement is in Draenor's Shadowmoon Valley village Shaz'gul, inside the big hut. If you enter the village from the north entrance the first hut to the right is the one with the tome. 37.6, 59.3

This quest doesn't show for me as a Horde who have completed the storyline quests in the area. The buildings are on fire, but when I approach from the distance I can see the quest marker. It is probably a phasing issue.

If you are one of the people who quested through Draenor as Alliance and then transferred to Horde you will just see the village on fire and be unable to get the book.

You can get around this by having someone share the quest with you. I took a friend with me to the village, had them share the quest, and was able to finally finish the achievement.

The Cursed Tome is located in "Shaz'gul", a village in the Shadowmoon Valley in Draenor.
Coming from the east, head up the hill to the village and turn right. The tome is in the hut, with the high roof, in the back room, next to the beds.

Out of curiosity, is there any breadcrumb way to find this tome as Horde? I stumbled upon the quest marker while looking for lumber around Shadowmoon Valley as a Blood Elf and don't have yet an Alliance alt.

This little quest is the thing that will make you use your garrison hearthstone and trigger your garrison loading screen ptsd.

A book about Gul'dan's past, on the alternate universe homeworld of the orcs, 35 years into the past of the alternate timeline, is written in the language of a race that's never been there until WoD? How?

Is there any to backdoor into Draenor if you took the jump to 100 around Draenor? I have a garrison stone, but it kicks me out of the game if I try to use it, and if I go through the portal, Khadgar doesn't let me wander off to try to run to Shadowmoon. Do I have to do the stupid intro sequence?

I thought it odd, that Gul'dan starts and ends the cutscene with, "No one living has heard of the village of my birth." Then, he goes on to tell us the story. At the end, he says the same thing but adding, "And no one ever will." Um, excuse me Gul'dan, but you just told US.

According to Chronicles, Gul'Dan's village was located in Gorgrond... Aside from this 'elven' text, why would this tome be somewhere in SMV?

I had no idea that this was in game, and just found it by randomly flying around Draenor while bored on my 120 Alliance alt this evening. Cool that there's still awesome stuff like this to find in game.

Found this yesterday while going through and clearing out old content. I have the tome and it says to bring it to Robert Newhearth in Dalaran. According to comments and WoWhead he's located in the Violet Citadel. However, when I go there he is nowhere to be found. Anyone else experience this? Surely it's not in New Dalaran... right?

Description

The head of the curators in Dalaran is renowned for his restoration skills. Perhaps he can treat the tome to bring it back to legibility.
