This quest was changed slightly in a hotfix: "For the quest “Cleansing the Dreamway”, Rarefied Water should now drop from every boss. Other enemies no longer drop the item for the quest." Source Hopefully this means that the bosses alone drop enough water to complete the quest (if your group didn't kill all the random naga before, sometimes you didn't have enough water at the end).

Old comment: ~~These can be looted from any naga in the Eye of Azshara instance. I received enough to complete it in one run through.~~

Confirmed that it can be done on normal OR heroic. You have to be on the quest to loot them.

As of today 17/11/2016 I can comfirm what Mustlovecats commented on Newsushi's post. You do not need Cleansing the dreamway to continue towards the class order hall campaign.

I got mylune as my follower, the other quests opened up, I did in fact complete Brightingwing's other two quests. (Pendant + The Cycle Continues)

You have to join a group to Eye of Azshara. Normal, heroic or mythic are all okay. I'm not sure, if Rarefied Water drops from thrash naga mobs in the instance, i got no one. But got five from each boss, so five bosses x five waters = 25. So, you have to do a full run for this quest, just do not forget to loot each boss.

7.3- I just finished Eye of Azshara: Cleansing the Dreamway. Went back to Brightwing to hand in quest and it recruited Champion:Brightwing. No need for all the quests in between anymore.

As of today - Heroic EOA. 5 bosses. 5 per. 1 full run does it. Don't overthink this :)

Has anyone done a full run of this quest and not received credit for Wrath of Azshara slain? Just did it on heroic, looted all 25 water (5 per boss, including WoA), but no credit for the kill and the second portion of the quest requirements.

Did this and didn't get 5 rareified water from the final boss, had to run it a 2nd time.

As of today, normal mode EoA still works, 5 waters from each boss. I turned it into Brightwing and the very next quest was to obtain them as a champion right away - completely skipped over the Pendant part of the quest.

Kind of a BS quest, tbh. I just did this place for the last druid quest and it throws me back in. Really weak writing. 1/10

A normal Eye of Azshara will do the trick. You can finish The Cycle Continues with this quest in one go.

I can see the quest marker on my class hall map, but when I fly there, it's only the portal back to the Emerald Dreamway (aka the druid lobby). Oh look, there she is, where we just completed the cleansing quest, with 3 quests for me.

Collect 25 Rarefied Water from the naga in the Eye of Azshara, and defeat the Wrath of Azshara.

Description

Brightwing has lots of friends. I like friends!

But you know who isn't Brightwing's friend? Scary monsters from the nightmare!

They hurt Brightwing's allies, and they made the grove all yucky!

This place needs to be cleansed, but I'm all out of magic.

Can you bring Brightwing some purified water to help? You'll have to go far, far away... to the Eye of Azshara where the naga live.
