He appears to spawn around 69.10, 27.54 (north of Vol'jin's Pride)

I have actually encountered him on the south side of the village.

He was bugged for hrs, and didn't spawn, after that, spawned regularly just like any other q mob.

Easily soloable.

Encountered at 66.69, 36.41 just below the little ledge south-west of Vol'jins pride.

With the heavy phasing I just stood there for about a minute and he came flying by.

He patrols in a clockwise direction along the far edges of the quest zone indicated on the map.

He seems to respawn with maybe a minutes window around above mentioned co-ordinates

I just confirmed he spawns on the south side of Voljin's Pride. He has roughly a 5-10min spawn timer.

Just found SE of 39, 67, which is outside of the blue area that blizz gives you for the found in area.

I was in a group waiting for it to spawn. I was maybe 20 yards away in visible distance when people yelled he spawned and we killed him, I barely got there.
I am standing on his ciorpse, coords are 66,39 and 31,49.
Good luck.

I suggest skipping this quest if you want to level fast. Long respawn timer!

I also have encountered Kil'uun in the direction of south-west from Voljin's Pride, three times, as the first two were dead bodies, so I strongly suggest You to go into that direction.
Near the rare boss Steeltusk.

Also macro with /target Kil'uun is recommended ;-)

Although most of you say that saw him on the lake on northwest of Pride of Vol'jin (of course, he flies around the map), me and my group found his true spawn place: 70.12, 38.12. He spawned 3 times there with each one of my group and 2 times more while I was writing this comment in english and in portuguese. Have a nice hunt!

He is a bird but don't spend time looking up in the air like I did! He flies right along the ground!

Ok, so after following tips and choords from Wowhead and from friends, and after going c o m p l e t e l y insane about this mother!@#$ing bird, I found his true spawn place where I got to slay him without missing him out because I was too far away and got to him too late.

The magical numbers are:

I'm literally standing where he spawned, and got NEUTRALIZED. and these are my choords. Over and out.(##RESPBREAK##)2572##DELIM##MasterOfDisguise##DELIM##

For Hunters:
He is very easy to tame. Marksman Hunter lvl 95 with ilvl of 536. His attacks didn't stop the Tame Beast casting.

In fact he was longer to kill than to tame :)

anyone know what quest unlocks this?. I came to the zone, I establish the arcane sanctum, talk with Khadgar, and still I cant get this quest. :(

When I found him he was stationary, hanging out on the bridge at 73, 26.

In order to unlock this quest and others, you must first do the quest chain 'At Your command' from Foreman Grobash. He will make you choose a building for the camp, and then there is a short follow-up.

Once the camp is established, the quest will become available.

Description

It's that damned bird!

Every few hours, this blasted thing flies right past here, and none of these idiots will stop it.

"It's got the crazy in its eyes," they tell me. Pah!

Commander, this bird will be the end of me. If you see it, could you cut off its stupid head and give it to me?
