That pillar is "stronger than bone". Did he really think his skull could crack it? XD I found this quest very satisfactory.

For posterity, here's what happens after you turn the quest in:

Jojo Ironbrow says: This is magnificent! I've never seen craftsmanship so fine.
Jojo Ironbrow says: There is only one thing to do. I must smash it! Once and for all, all shall know the power of my mighty brow.

Jojo Ironbrow says: Oh... my head... it hurts so badly! I've... the pillar must contain enormous power... perhaps stronger even than my brow.
Jojo Ironbrow says: I'm... I'm just going to lie down a while... until this headache goes away.

And later on, you see he's wielding the jade pillar as a weapon.

Still begs the question to this day though, where did the Pillar come from? If it doesn't match Hozen craftsmanship, and none of the other Pandaren on the turtle made it, who left it there?
