By the time my level 80 was dine extinguishing fires, I really didn't care if Astranaar was in flames or not. Not a fast quest. Some of the fire pots I had to throw 4 or 5 on to extinguish, some were quick. Found it easy on the building corners, not so on the grass. Mine is a hunter, night elf, trying to do the dungeon master achievement, even though I've ran BFD a couple or more times, it didn't register on the achievements. I flew to Ashenvale, and picked up the quest. As for quest rewards, I got 15 silver, and Alliance rep increased by 62. (I'm exalted with the entire alliance cities, except Gillneas, where I'm already honored.)

Its not a bad quest.. quite easy for the xp.. go for the roofs though.. doesnt seem to work on trees, poles or grass..

Fairly easy quest, stay away from fires the edge of the city. Focus mostly on the buildings, they all went out with one bucket. quick and easy.

Easy quest. You left click at the bucket, point it out in the fire and when you see the green circle, you'll right click, so your character will throw the bucket to extinguish the fire. You can only do the roofs and you don't have to be really near/close to it. It gives really good XP.

It would sure be nice to have this quest's bucket of water during Hallow's End...

If your having trouble go to your game menu / options. Turn particle density all the way up, even if you have to turn the rest down temporarily. It makes the fires MUCH easier to see so you can identify the base and only have to make one throw.

The fire's that were on the ground were harder to get to (never was able to get any of those). I would just go for the ones on the buildings instead.
