Be sure to accept this quest without waiting too long like I did, or else he will despawn. I'm convinced that I'll have to kill the Lich dude again now to get him back.

alright so i did the quest to choose which faction i wanted to do.. and i chose oracles but jaloot did not drop this quest so i can do the dailies.. me and my friedn are going to try again today.. hopefull it works *fingers crossed* from what i have been reading.. it should pop up today meaning i can start the dailies.. i sure hope it works..

For some reason, this quest is classified as Horde when it shouldn't be. I've received this quest twice on Alliance side. I noticed similar problems among other Sholazar-quests when I was plotting my path through the zone.

Had the same problem as many have in comments. I exited the game and relaunched it, killed the Lich again, and the quest appeared. Try restarting your game and killing him again if you're having this issue.

If your farming frostweave he drops 4 to 5 a kill great for farming that item

At level 85, you need to hold up on dps a little. Just auto attack or wand until your two little friends get chained up. At which point, keep whichever faction you want to befriend alive.

Zerging down the Lich only results in both little guys to stay frozen, and not giving you the ability to open up the dailies with either. But if you do happen to kill him too fast, then restart the game like someone else said.

ok so, I killed the lich too fast, but I got to complete the daily... now after restarting/clearing cache 3 times he still won't give me this quest. WTF is going on?

I am having problems with this quest aswell i slowly kill the mob so that he unfreezes the 2 npc's and i kill the wolf looking one and keep the oracles one alive and let him kill it and after its dead. the oracles npc still dose not give me a quest. Help ?

i ran straight in there and 2 hit killed her i got the option to choose sides and i chose oracles i thought i had finished but then returned to oracle base there was no dailies, so i tried re-logging and she respawned i killed her slowly and this time she freed them both from their ice-block i helped the oracle and still no extra quest so in the end decided to clear cache ( by right clicking the desktop shortcut for wow , and choosing the bottom option which is properties at the top you will see a wtf folder and cache the cache is the folder to delete ) when i logged back in this time i auto attacked slowly and when it said lich is shielded i helped the oracle i finally finished her off after killing the faction i didnt want and the quest was available . you do not have to wait till the next day gl

Make sure you've enabled the feature to see low-level quests. Right-click on the mini-map and select Low Level Quests. Worked for me :)

If like me you're speeding through for loremaster, you don't realise you need to let the fight last until he makes you choose a side before you can get this quest, oops!

As of 5.4.2 you'll probably want to remove your weapon and hit him with your fists. Otherwise, you're guaranteed to one-shot him. I just killed him three times, the first two to try for the quest, and the second time to experiment with this strategy. Thankfully, it worked. Sadly, now I have to wait till tomorrow to finish this quest-line.
