Found 1, it fly's between (48:36) (45:56) along the path, near Nath'raxas Hold.
And "nest" at (50:62) above Annihilan Pits.

Saw several of them in the Petrified Forest area for a few seconds and then they disappeared.

I killed one and it dropped gray garbage.

It says that this mob is tameable, but when I try it would channel for a second and then fail every time. Any suggestions?

Felred Argus Darkray can be found in the Petrified Forest in Krokuun at the coords 67.7 70.0. There are two of them that do a loop around the area where the Duskcloak Panthera are, and you get the quest to capture the armored Talbuks. The best way to get one is to head up the path where you see a log jutting out from the side of a cliff. It's just left of the spot where you find the battle pet, Ruinhoof. Go up to the log and wait for the Darkray to path around, throw down an ice trap at your feet and hit it with a concussive shot, once its trap. Tame. Easy peasy. :)

Tamed the Fel Grey version today at a peak to the left above the path Garothi Obliterator walks on (big oulandish elite robot), I climbed up by the sharp cliffs slightly below the entrance to Krokul Hovel, and then used a goblinglider to reach the last peak. Make sure you stand on a smooth surface when using the glider, I wasted a couple of gliders by not doing that xD

This guy comes in two colors: Black Fel and Red Fel. I went up to a "path" (not marked) that starts at /way 46.45 45.88 and stood at /way 46.57 44.04 at the end of the ledge. It does take some hopping around while mounted to get to the ledge but it's not difficult.

I was able to stand there and kill them until the color I wanted (Black Fel) showed up. It only took 7 minutes for another to cruise on by after I killed a red one.

Easy, ground-level place to tame these in Krokun: 50.9 / 65.7. Head north along the main path out of Krokul Hovel. When you get to the crossroads where you turn right into the Petrified Forest, don't turn right, go left instead. A little along that path, after the picturesque green lake of fel goo, near Foulclaw the pet, you'll see a yellow house in a pit. For some reason two of them just love to fly down in there. Be alert as you stand there waiting, however, as occasionally one will even swoop down behind you to nuzzle at Foulclaw, that beast being so strangely attractive to the rays.
