As far as utilities and visible changes are concerned, they have changed ALOT of things about hunters since 3.0 patch. However, the class can still be played very well and is now balanced with all other classes. The only thing that has changed is that hunters have become less of a 5-year-olds class meaning you can't just spam three different shot buttons, send your pet in, and own everyone you see. The class now actually requires a small effort to play it well. I can see how that must be a tragic change for hunter players but to everyone else it is relief since almost the creation of the game.
Well, love all these changes. But what really made me amazed was the fact of removing the CD from adrenaline rush. On the first months of TBC, i could use this ability twice with preparation. That got removed sometime after it, because it was too powerfull. Now that i've heard that rogues are not quite good in DPSing atm, this could really tip off the scales for all the combat rogues. With adrenaline rush on at all time, they can do a special attack every 2-3 seconds. Add a 2.7 attack speed sword on the main hand, put a fast one in the off-hand, and presto, a rogue with a crazy DPS. But they'll have to notice something: they must do a rotation of 15 seconds if they want to keep it always. Some ppl may have gone through this with Hunger for Blood, but it was on a 30 second timer. And not only that, with all the "traps" that rogues have to watch out in the various encounters (Like whirlwind or the nether-drakes' rift spell at the Obsidian Sanctum) can make it hard to maintain Adrenaline Rush active while keeping the high DPS and your life both up and running. This is something we wll have to waitto confirm. But, on my oppinion, it'll probably get a much smaller cooldown, like, say, 1 minute. Like the paladin's Divine Plea, but for recovering energy instead of mana.Remember, i am just speculating based on what i know from my rogue days.
^@Adrenaline Rush. Can you not read? They said they are lowering the cooldown, not getting rid of it. That would be absolutely ridiculous.
I'm strictly a PvE player. from my standpoint it really seems like Arena plays a big part in a lot of the recent changes to class mechanics. and usually they are to balance play in arena. I realize it's probably a 2-way street, as of course, a lot of changes are made to accommodate PvE as well. But I would like to hear from a hardcore PvP'ers point of view, do you feel changes made to accommodate PvE players drastically affect they way you play in PvP? Currently there are some mechanics that change upon entering arenas and BGs (diminishing returns on CC for example). Hopefully we see more of this "dual mechanic" happen for more spells. So for instance Sunder Armor sees no changes in PvE, but the proposed changes in 3.1 are implemented once you enter Arena or BG.Considering there are still bugs being worked out from 3.0.8, it seems very unlikely this could happen anytime soon. (can you even imagine how buggy "dual-mechanics" would be?).

Wow... that Hunger for Blood change is fu**ing screwed for Rogues. That and another skill I had gave me like HUGE Crit Damages... now, not as much <_<Screw you, Blizz...
Hunger for Blood change is... just dumb. Is pressing a button every 30 secs too hard for you worthless sobs? Honestly... There goes Assassination raiding down the train... always hated the style of Combat. And what's with all this DK qq still? It's been months since the class was released, I can understand the qq back then, but now that their weaknesses are known they're not op at all. Learn the counters and move on. Main thing is kiting and silence. Keep a DK from using Death Grip or Chains of Ice (or any other spell) and you one honorable kill on your hands.Same with pallies. It's about time ret got buffed up, so stop crying about it. The classes are basically all balanced right now (besides shamen and warlocks, but that appears to be coming soon), just learn the strengths and weaknesses of the classes and stop posting the walls of incoherent text that make you sound dumber than you probably are.
DK's not OP?hahahahaha good one.
