Alright, to be perfectly honest, I hate the new Flying Vehicle System. I dunno why, it's just not for me. Maybe its my Computer... I just don't like it.The first time I flew was in Howling Fjord, the Steel Gate. I had to shoot down some guys & collect 3 things and place them ontop of a crane. The thing was... I had NO idea how to turn and stop and everything lol. Whenever I would press the button to stop, I would turn left or something. I'm thinking it was my keyboard...But that was my first experience with Flying machines, and now I ain't too crazy to get back into them (I died like 7 times...)Btw, incredible post you have :D
this looks so COOL! cant wait to try this fight.
Do the quest to defend Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight if you want to see flying vehicles in action. That plane in Fjord was horribly buggy, and unresponsive.
Really nice write-up :) Can't wait to try this encounter, as I love the whole dragon story. Thanks for telling about the daily, would really get handy :)
Man just wait until you get to Storm Peaks and get the quest to kill dragon riders in flight, jumping from flying dragon to flying dragon. tis pure awesome
Vehicles are clunky. The whole thing was designed to be a "feature" without any actual need for it. Many people don't like the whole experience. I was wishing it would just be used for some dailies for unemployed housewives to do every morning but they actually have in in raids and it's unfun.
Well, first when i've met some serious drake flying in oculus and such, i didn't really like it, but now after a few malygos kills, and a few hours working on oculus achievements, i think i got the hang on it, and really, it's not fun and such when you don't know exactly what to do,as it usually means fast death for the drake, faster than for you as rogue on sapphiron just pressing these few buttons and running to hide every now and then. When you don't know it, it really fails, however once it's all learned and people do things properly, i think it's really fun and epic to do such encounters.
My biggest issue with this fight is being forced to use the crappy bliz UI to see who's taking damage/needs heals. I REALLY wish grid would work for that phase...my response time and ability to triage healing effectively would instantly doubly, at least.
This is a tough fight. There is a learning curve needed when you reach the part with the dragons. Don't expect to get this on your first try at Malygos, but it may be possible. My guild had no problem whatsoever with Naxx but this guy owned us.
For phase 3 we like to group up on one spot that way the AOE healing works better. When Malygos does his aoe attack, everyone just moves to the right to avoid it. Works pretty good.
Is it even worth it to grab any arcane resist gear?
